I've yet to see one of these, in the flesh, or in a picture, in any colour or from any angle that doesn't look really stupid.

It's horribly proportioned. Too short, too wide, too tall, too stupid. Why do so many peopke like them?
Apt user name..... hehe

There’s very few angles that they don’t look good imho. But then if we all thought the same I guess.....
..apart from any view including the headlights!? (yes I have trypophobia) boxedin Nice colour though
I can see Doofus' point - they have nice (if slightly caricature) proportions, but jarring details - that rising B-pillar just looks wrong, the jewelled headlights were dated when it was launched, etc... Best profile is from directly behind - the rear lights, the wide/low stance - that works well.

This Alfa Romeo SZ appears occasionally, still the only one I've ever seen, always stops me in my tracks when I see it. Photos taken on the occasions I've seen it

Apparently of the 900 or so V8 versions built, only 10 or 12 were the Tourer version of the Rover branded cars (most were MG).

4.6lt Ford engine, late teens MPG and 319 g/km, just 250bhp. Would be a wonderfully soothing thing to schlep about in I'd imagine.

Good spot.
how? this is a supercars thread that thing with its woefully undepowered antique V8 barely qualifys as a car

Making less power than possible doesn't necessarily make something underpowered.

I know that car! Here we are at Goodwood together, many, many years ago.

The one that got away was the yellow NSX. It was perfect, and my friend sold it for £22k. Dear god.

Can't make out the plate on the NSX (link doesn't work - says private). Can see it's JDM...if it's M88 WAR, I know the chap who bought it and still has it...

Pleasant sight yesterday of a 328 GTS actually being used (Kingsway, Hove, Eastbound about 230pm). Red, naturally. Just looked so so lovely. And small!

RR Phantom V11 DHC this afternoon in bloody Crawley of all places. Looked............out of place, but lovely nontheless.

That's the very car. Previous owner remains one of my best friends...just checked your profile and looks like you bought it from him! Did I get the purchase price right? I know it was cheap compared to what they are worth now - but £22k seems too low even for all that time ago when they were still a bit unloved.

I love PH.

Not guilty...mine is a UK car. The current owner is from NI and has had it for years, so probably did buy it from your friend. Still in absolutely lovely condition too...
