Have brands hatch changed anything post this tt getting on the track?
At the end of the day there's no way anyone not racing should be allowed onto the track.
I think it has been pointed out before that it is hard to 100% secure a track given the need for access vehicles, emergency services, etc, so there are limits? At the end of the day there's no way anyone not racing should be allowed onto the track.
You go to bsb/btcc/dtm at brands and you don't get access to the pit lane , you most certainly don't get people driving random cars into the pit area.

Yes, as have other tracks. At the end of the day there's no way anyone not racing should be allowed onto the track.
It is now a full on pain in the arse to get about at some of them, even if like me you have known most of the right people for well over 20+ years. Simple 5 minute jobs now require that you either have to have pit bikes available or take 30 minutes longer than necessary. Most changes have been put in place with good sense but there are still times when the fall out from this knob jockey screws up your day.
Still think he should have been removed from that car feet first...

Didn't he get on by going thru the tunnel, into the pits then down pit lane and onto the track?

You can get pretty much wherever you want.
They trust people not to be bellends.
Fair sentence IMO, the guy's a tool of large proportions, however I do hope, as he'll be out in 3 months anyway, that he is also banned from driving for at least a few years, and is made to compensate everyone's losses from that day.
While the harsh sentence should send a message and deter copycats, I think those affected on the actual day should get back their losses and the punishment should be relevant to the offense.

I understand having a open pit so people can look in the back of the garage and see what goes on but no need to drive to the pits.

he got a very light sentence imo for endangering his passengers lives so recklessly While the harsh sentence should send a message and deter copycats, I think those affected on the actual day should get back their losses and the punishment should be relevant to the offense.

Rather than go lightly on him and give him an asbo, the judge has correctly closed the door on the next face-time retard that decides to go one better take a moped onto an F1 circuit.

was it really that dangerous? safer than your average tourist day at the ring.He was not meant to be there, he took it upon himself to drive onto the track during a race and screw it up for all those who had spent a lot of time and money to be there.
Dicks like this who fk with other peoples stuff, be it property, person or pursuits in the name of having a "Larf" need dealing with harshly and I think this is about right, there are so many that do things that hurt, upset or annoy others and then get away with it, they need making an example of, if they don't respect others rights then they need to lose theirs for a little while.
This bellend was completely typical of the 'no regrets' having a 'laff' YOLO 'Dapper' fking stupid haircut Oi Oi! generation, and really needed to be made an example of in my opinion.
The judge obviously thought so too.
He should also be made to pay back every last penny of the £4200 he cost the organisers.
Let's see how fking hilarious he finds that.

The guy is a complete fvcking bell end but lets not pretend it was particularly dangerous. His passengers were probably safer on track than they were out on the road with him!EskimoArapaho said:

Because all he did was drive a car round a track at a relative low speed?
Tell you what Greg. If you sit in the rear of a Polo doing 10 mph wearing just casual clothes. And we fire a race car (complete with hot engine and full of fuel) into the back of it at 90 mph. You'd be 100% confident you'd see the following day would you?I would however have jailed him for the fact that he took his girfriend against her will onto the track and risked her life and limb without her permission. I would also jail him for beng an antisocial git, of course

So exactly what he has been jailed for. That Greg doesn't think warranted it. But you defend Greg's position. That's certainly an interesting take on the subject. But I'm not sure I understand.

Did he risk the life and limb of the other race drivers - NO
Is he an antisocial git - YES
Should he risk his girlfiends safety without her permission - NO
Jail for two or three but don't get hysterical about point one which was gregs position. I thought that was pretty clear?
