Real Good Number Plates vol 5

I get that. Might mean nothing but has sentimental value. I know a girl who has a private plate that bears no resemblance to her initials or name at all, but was her late Grandfathers. She’ll never part with it.
Snap, I have my great grandad’s plates, (AC 30) that have no relation to my initials. I live in Harris where everyone knows everyone and having distinctive plates means you get the 2 finger wave (not the rude one!) earlier as it makes my otherwise boring grey old car easy to spot.Greg the Fish said:
I guess PAK 1 wouldn't have been deemed 'correct'
PAK 1 was also issued as an early issue by Bradford in 1949 (rest of series issued 1958). 1 PAK was allocated in 1991 - likely to be a replacement due to more recent disparaging use of the term as PAK 1 no longer showing as on a car.M3DGE said:

Possible, but it is an original issue by Rotherham in 1903. Possibly a civic car for the local council? They sometimes issued specials or, in this case more likely, reissued plates...LarJammer said:

Indeed. I grew up in Rotherham & it was a 'hotbed' of real good plates. Lots of WET, JET, GET, BET, NET etc plates around. Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
