Looks very tidy. Where do you get the units? Cheers

Finished my small makeover. Got rid of some units, moved the remaining ones around, repainted the floor and walls, Duramat tile section in the middle and a general clear out. Not a patch on some of the other garages on here, but I'm happy for now!

Loving that.
Where did you get the ramp. Is it decent?
I see one in my future.
It’s from Automotech, and yes it’s very decent! Will outlast my useage of it that’s for sure!Where did you get the ramp. Is it decent?

Agreed. It’s useful to have a real world review. Just taken a look at their site and I am surprised how reasonably priced they are. I see a 2-poster in my future for £1300, it’ll be a brilliantly useful addition to the garage.
I thought the same in terms of value! This 4-poster was £2500 and I literally use it all the time. Even for things like cleaning, it’s so much easier to polish a car when it’s a little way off the ground, so you’re working at a more comfortable level.
Had the Stag on it last weekend fitting the re-chromed back bumper.
I think I post this on every thread where lifts pop up. I looked at automotech and twinbusch. Baked them off against each other. Both were impressive but ended up with the latter as they could help out with a complicated delivery situation my end. (Gravel drive, tight access)
Look them up. I’m very impressed with mine

I do worry that my concrete base may be a bit chalky for a 2 poster. The builder put a bit of a wet mix in for his own convenience when building it... the lazy toad!
The fundamental stability of a 4 poster looks intriguing, but I worry about how easy it is to get wheels off compared to a 2 poster.

I like the stability of the four-poster... The Jensen Convertible is a heavy old car, and I much prefer having it on four posts. Jacking is easy for wheel removal, it has a jack that slides fore/aft in between the two ramps, position that under something solid, chock the wheels, and up she goes. It has end plates to slot in once the car is on the ramp so it couldn't roll off even it it wasn't chocked.
Just wish this garage was a few feet wider, the ramp pretty much fills it.

I self built my house in 2018. Specified a 200mm floor. The garage floor day was one of about 5 days in the whole project where I didn’t make it to site. When I drilled for the lift I had approx 150mm on the middle and closer to 100mm at the edge by the wall. Ended up having some bracing plates made up to bolt it to the wall one side and a nearby rsj the other, using the shipping holes in the top of the posts.

That's like my garage was. I just keep moving parts to the sides. I seriously need to declutter and sell of parts I no longer need. Its all self funding though, as I sold two set of track wheels for grand this week. so I am halfway there on the cost of new cupboards along the back.

I’d go 2 post every time. Just plan for extra concrete, the manufacturer will have recommendations. I was a little concerned so dug 2 squares 1mx1m x .5 deep. Then made a rebar cage and epoxied it into the existing concrete, put a damp proof layer in and poured on top. I won’t lie in that it was a lot of effort, but wasn’t expensive and I know those lifts aren’t going anywhere.
