That's a cracking colour combo. Looks very classy. The Lord's fuel too.
What are these like to live with, any big ticket items? Didn't know they were near thread territory...
We had one up to 70something, 000 miles. I don't recall anything going wrong with it.

All the mechanical components in that car had been around 10+ years by then, and the suspension architecture. You don't really hear any sad tales of woe about the XF designed under Ford, it's the more recent models without their influence that have been a return to historical form for Jaguar.

Just tripped over this on eBay - I think it looks stunning, and that interior combo with the metallic red works so well.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1995-JAGUAR-XJ-4-0-R-SU...

I've looked over the MOT history and the car has only done about 1,000 miles a year for the last ten years, and although it needs front tyres, springs, brakes and some other bits (unless the dealer has taken care of them..... which is unlikely) I think this looks a very straightforward project and a great way into a great motor.

Where's the catch?

This one appears to have a non functioning supercharger. We've had the S in budget.

It has another 116 ponies (410bhp in the MK1), and changes it from a grunty surprise from the 4.2 to an animal.

After all the Rover SD1 talk here, there's a story about one on the PH news page.

Jaguarsteve and stickleback are your go-to blokes for these but, for what it's worth, I so very would.

Lovely. Was on gumtree as a private sale in Feb or March I think, price hasn't changed, nor have the pics.

Strela had a colourful turn of phrase but didn't smack quite so much of lunatic as this guy. Could be him I guess, but having gone all James Bond on us here it would be a little odd to reveal himself on RR.

One for the over priced thread, but just look at it- £12k for a C6 "Noir et Blanc". Thread plate included I'd hope!

That looks great in pics, and it has cruise! Unbelievably it wasn't standard and many don't have it. I haven't driven one for a long while but I think they'd feel very old fashioned (in a good way) now and have a very old fashioned thirst to performance ratio. Strong arguments to be made that the X300 and XJ40 were the last real Jaguars, with engines in multiples of six cylinders as God intended.

It's a great looking car but there's a similar spec one, two years younger, with less mileage on the trader for half that price. You could get a respray and still have enough left over to buy a nearly new small japanese car for when the C6 is in a mood.

The least special Special Edition I've seen. Grossly overpriced, shirley?

Lexus collected and home earlier than expected. No fuel station pictures as it has not needed it yet but hopefully this will do.

Apart from taking me about 10 minutes to work out how to adjust the mirrors (little flip down control panel with loads of other buttons) everything seems to work including the air con seats, it has 14 Lexus service stamps and recent premium tyres all round.

Standard spec puts modern cars to shame, everything is electric, the drive is very smooth and it pulls really well so hopefully that continues.

Hi All,

Reluctantly going to sell my W124 frown

Expecting another baby in October and what with the dogs we won't all fit in my wife's Volvo V40 or the Merc so I'm going to buy an estate.

It's been flawless in the 14 months I've owned it and don't want to sell it but I don't have space and would need the money to put towards my next car.

https://www.gumtree.com/p/cars-vans-motorbikes/w12...

Agh! I’m going to have to remove myself from PH for a while until that’s safely in the hands of its new owner. God I miss that car badly.

TTFN!
Come on John, do the right thing. You know that you'll regret not buying it.
You’re not helping Harry!

Must not click on the advert, must not click . . .
I'll happily pick you up from the airport like you did for me biggrin

I was hoping you wouldn't notice I'm selling it. I love it so much but need to get an estate car and can't afford to have both frown
Too kind! I’d love to have it back, especially since you’ve obviously looked after it properly. But the reason I sold it is as true now as it was then; I just know I won’t use it enough. If only you’d bought the E320 off me instead.

Not sure if serious? I can't imagine may less appealing L322s - it's dragging on the ground as the air suspension is fked, and it's covered in ill fitting chav rubbish. It's also an early one with the troublesome BMW V8.
