Hope everything is ok Chris.
I'm meeting a few friends and going up there, if you want a lift that's no problem I can swing by yours and pick you up easily enough. I may know someone for storage as well, I should be seeing him next week when my car goes in for a service so can ask him then.
I'll Whatsapp you the details, but everything is good James... just going to be a bit all over the place in July and have a lot of other stuff on!I'm meeting a few friends and going up there, if you want a lift that's no problem I can swing by yours and pick you up easily enough. Almost certainly will take the lift... might have a free storgeage solution!

Let’s not let anything as trivial as running costs get in the way of things eh?!
I dunno, 3 years down the line with another 25k on the clock, £25k feels about right to me. You could probably drop another £5k to get out easy by part exchanging I guess.
As much as circa £15k is to lose on a car I still think it’s a metric st ton of car for the money. It’s about the same as what a Type-R has cost me for the sane amount of time.
Have you added in the cost of an extended warranty? You're a braver man than me thinking about running a JLR product outside of the warranty periodI dunno, 3 years down the line with another 25k on the clock, £25k feels about right to me. You could argue that you'll get to know whether it's a wrong'un within the first 2 years of used warranty. Maybe!

Harry Metcalfe seems to do alright with his.

All modern cars are complicated, all modern cars have the potential to deliver big bills. Land Rover “issues” relative to other manufacturers are greatly exaggerated by the internet in my experience - even the new car “reliability” indices have a small spread of number of issues between top and bottom, and then it’s often things like phones not pairing giving the impression that it will explode before you’ve got it home from the dealer.NomduJour said:

Now I’m no Bugatti expert but I’m pretty sure I saw a type 57 and a type 55 on my local high street on Friday or Saturday and a 57 and a 35 today just outside of Aylesbury.. Has something been going on?
It was La Vie en Bleu/La Vita Rossa festival at Prescott at the weekend, I was there with my Dad and gave the Sud a 300 mile round trip run. Many many pre war Bugattis there so would think that's where they were heading.
A couple of my pics from the Saturday

He (his words) saw the move as nothing more than a move into customer relations as the dealership made hand over fist in new car sales (this was a year or so ago) and was pretty much a license to print money on service/warranty work but dealing with clients who spent a number of hours each month at the dealership wasn't his cup of tea.
As most of these clients are pretty wealthy, smoothing things over was the order of the day-apparently this dealership in particular ran very frequent shooting and horse trials days as part of the package to keep them spending.
I must admit, the Tuesday I went in to hand back the loan car I was trying I asked if there was a special incentive day on so busy was the "lounge area". Apparently not, it was just a regular busy day on the "service" side (there were more than 20 customers reading papers, working on laptops etc).

That would seem to make sense. It’s not that unusual to see some crazy cars around here, D-type parked on the kerb outside Tesco for example, but over a couple of days suggested something more than sunny day drivers.
Looks like a good event.

Puma Racing spotted out and about today. No pics unfortunately as I was driving but it looked mighty tidy, very compact and gave off a nice little parp! as he accelerated off. Really can't remember when I last saw one in the wild.
Sticky.
Semi related to that but I saw a factory fresh Escort RS Cosworth in Radiant Red the other day.......Sticky.
......I rather sadly let out a gasp
Few pics from the paddock on Saturday trip to Brands Masters Historic festival, I enjoy Goodwood events but this is certainly more down to earth, less people and a lot cheaper!
Took a walk around the whole GP circuit ( well as much as you are allowed) which I had not done for while, it is a wonderful track and great to watch 70/80's F1 cars back where they belong.
Last but not least this was parked up next to us in the car park, I am standing there thinking wow thats cool as fk then my son pipes up 'why has someone come to race meeting in a silver hearse'

It must be great owning a classic race car, just spending most of the year driving around Europe and racing at its greatest tracks.
A lot of those at Brands will have been in Spa a couple of weeks ago, then off to the Nurburgring and back to Silverstone, back to Germany for the Old Timer before Goodwood and Monza classic at the end of September.
Must cost a fortune in pies and Tyres
