Eh? He hardly blocked him in. Are you supposed to slam the anchors on every time someone puts on a signal to move in front of you? The Jeep could easily have just accelerated a bit to move cleanly in front.
The camera car driver was, by far, the biggest dick in that video. He is one of the many motorway retards that approach a car as if they are going to overtake, but then match the other cars speed and sit right in their blind spot. When he finally decided to pull in, he was way too close to the Jeep, which is what pissed the Jeep driver off (though I'm not defending the stupid brake check). Either drop back and pull in, or put your foot down and overtake.

I'm only surprised he didn't take his stupidity to the next level by sitting right next to the Jeep until the Jeep met slower moving traffic and was unable to pull out, another motorway mouth breather classic.

So who is likely to get the overall blame for the accident. I know they are both to blame for their stupidity.

In a court both drivers would be on the hook for shocking driving, but an insurance company would surely only be interested in the actual accident cause. Earlier incidents are largely irrelevant I would have thought are they not?
Would the camera car be to blame as they decided to undertake at the at moment, or Swift for not checking mirrors before moving lanes potentially(I know he knew he was there)

At a guess 50/50, though they might go for the cam car as he pretty much drove the other car into the barrier as he tried to move into lane 4.
Can insurance not void the policy and not pay with evidence of dangerous driving?

5 years for the tt that did it. No seatbelt for the crash dummy in the passenger seat.
Looks like going North where it's dropped from 3 to 2 lanes.

There's average speed cameras there and used to be a fixed one. Everyone knows they are there. Surprised he was carrying that much speed in the first place.

Since they'd be liable even if the car was stolen, I would say no.

Although I share your general cynicism, the average speed cameras near there have reduced the jostling and occasional road rage that I used to see on the three lanes down to two stretch that he had just gone through- so they probably have reduced accidents.

Anyway regardless of the speed limit,he was just going far too fast for the curve in the road. The speed , if the road was empty, could have been fairly safe albeit illegal for several miles before.

This is why I have no real chance of ever going to the ring.
If people just got out of the way instead of parking like spoons, how much less of an issue would there be?

Are they average speed cameras, I thought they were just normal run of the mill speed cameras around there?

There is a short stretch as you approach the merge to 2 lanes with average speed cameras. Then it reverts to normal fixed ones every so often.

Can't say I've ever noticed the average ones, not that it's an issue, I always stick to 50 through there as there have been cameras there for years.

Don't think any of the cars there were parked (beyond the BMW that was rear ended by the other red porsche on the RHS grass verge) - they were all blocking the road as they were immobile following being hit/hitting something

I thought the issue was that people were braking hard on an area coated with coolant which in some cases can apparently be quite slippery.

I don't think so, but they're going to rinse him bone dry for years with a DD40 on his licence.

Someone unfamiliar with the Highway Code would watch that and assume the rule is "Stay right unless passing on the left".

I assume the Suzuki Swift driver was banned as well.

The action starts well before 6.30.

The cam car driver was a total total....a word is yet to be invented to describe how totally whatever-it-is he is, but he is one and a total, total one at that.

The Swift driver however should have stayed out of it. It was clear early on that the cam car had full moron mode engaged.
