It is Asda Linwood and that angle is overlooking the main road alongside it.

Does anyone know if that's a rising bollard or whether the driver reversed too hard and it went up? The back doesn't look banged in so I doubt the latter.

I work there, Definately not a rising bollard. Pure luck that the bumper wasnt badly damaged.

Surely all you need to do is get a few big blokes to come and lift it off the bollard, roll it forwards and place it down. Actually that would be quite funny to see. But it would be a dam sight less embarrassing than calling a recovery company.

The front end was wedged on the ground, doubt you would be able to get it rolling very far.

Selected reverse instead of first, then "instinctively" floored it when it started going in the wrong direction.

Or worse, selected reverse, hit bollard and thought "it's not moving", then sat there with her foot to the floor.

Also looks like a VW Scirocco, im sure these have reverse next to first gear, but im unsure as to whether it's lift or press (or what) to select reverse.

From what I heard it was the Auto variety of Scirocco.

Top Gear last night, Clarkson and May making use of some disabled spaces. Sorry for the bad photo - it's a photo of the TV paused:

Tropical north Cambridgeshire doing a DWP job I found three cars and a Renault in about seven or eight spaces.

I was tempted to put my work car in between any of them, but I'm not wearing my stab vest and it tax payers car not mine. wink

Thats what all spaces should be like! Enough room to open your door fully and dance around between cars!

By the way on the subject of that Top Gear pic, those disabled spaces are quite pathetic to be honest, they're the same as any other space just close to the entrance. Dont these people realise what disabled people actually need is room to open the door fully etc?

A lot of places are like this, it's a legal requirement to have a certain number of disabled spaces versus regular one's. They just paint in a wheel chair and having met the legal requirement, they leave it at that.

Yes i know, where i work is the same but at least when that was designed they made the spaces 30% wider than normal ones. But that was a site built with it in mind, alot of older places just get a can of paint out and be done with it.

The space to the right of James' car is pathetic, if that is even a space, if it isnt it shows they couldve made them all a bit wider and 'bunched up' a bit. Poor planning.
