No wonder all our insurance costs are sky rocketing! Someone somewhere is creaming a huge profit!

Last Friday's fun and games. I was turning right off a national speed limit A road. Indicate right, brake, begin to turn and before I know it a Transit has climbed up over my front drivers side wheel and is hurtling into the hedge, still at least doing 50mph+.

Apparently, despite it being an almost straight section of road, the car being big and red, and having brake lights on, and indicating, he didn't see me until the last minute whistle He was a good 50-60 yards behind me when I started indicating so to have no seen or slowed, I'm not convinced he was actually looking out of the windscreen.

What's not seen in the images is the impact ripped off the track rod and possibly more damage behind that. Can't see it being a cheap fix.

Wife took one up the rear yesterday, ooh matron.
While we are playing the “how much to repair “ game, this is £5750 + vat. Body shop says the underneath is crumpled like a coke can. They have informed the insurance company it’s a write off (we paid £10k last August for it)

I've NEARLY had that same accident 4 times in 4 years - turning off an A road onto a single track sideroad that leads up to my house.
Twice I've actually commenced turning in and had to straighten up and stop.
