I once took a Fabia VRS (the diesel one) on a test drive at the dealer, it was a new one with just a few miles on the clock. Upon pulling away he shouts over to me "Don't rev it past 6000 it's still breaking in".
I politely agreed not to take it over 5k

I was walking to the car park at work the other day and overheard someone who works in the same store as I do saying to his mate: "My new car is so powerful I didn't even notice I was doing, like, 70 in a 30".
I was thinking, fair play to him for getting something nice and fast, bit stupid not paying attention though. Then his mate asked him which car it was, and he pointed to it (by this time we had reached the car park).
Imagine my disappointment/amusement when I also looked, out of curiosity, and saw him pointing at a Citroen DS3. Not even the "racing" version either.
Still, as long as he enjoys it. Preferably without going anywhere near 70 in a 30. If that even happened.

My car currently has a dodgy gearbox, so I'm not using it much until I can fix it. Mentioning this to someone they ask when the MOT was due. I said it was done about a week ago and they were shocked that this wasn't picked up. They were suggesting I go back to them and get them to fix it. Why do people think that an MOT, done off the road in under an hour gives the car a clean bill of health?

This come up on one of those facebook funny picture group things today, sorry if it's already been posted.
A friend of my girlfriend had damaged her tyre and asked how you top up the water in them. Yes she believed they were filled with water not air. The mind boggles.

I'd be quite funny watching when she tries to stick the screen-wash hose on the tyre valve at a Filling Station .Yes she believed they were filled with water not air. The mind boggles.
