Been working late so just spotted this and I have to say I can't think of another time when one car has received so much praise. My faith in the members of PH is now fully restored and although we all have various tastes it's so nice to see we can all agree on the important things in life.

Number 3 on my personal list of most stunning looking cars and in the right light number 1.

In the '80s, a guy down the road from me bought one of the 21 RHD Pantera GT5Ss brand new. From then on it was a dream car for my brother and I. It was red and with those wide arches, massive spoiler and V8 engine, it looked and sounded incredible. Luckily we lived in the end house on the road and he had to turn out onto a main road so he regularly nailed it, which was worthy of much jumping and giggling when we were in the garden - we were 8-9 year old car enthusiasts. smile I love the Pantera GT5S and the article was a good read. It looks absolutely immaculate, especially the interior. I bet it's great fun with that 430bhp engine! cool

Great to see an article on these. One of my top three cars of all time.

They were on track at the 2010 Classic Le Mans. Tertre Rouge Corner. 3am. Incredible noise. Four stabs of flame in the night. Indelible memory.

Will own one eventually.

I went to a De Tomaso and Lamborghini Owners Club shared Testing day at Bruntingthorpe years ago - what an experience. To see an apparently very uncared for Pantera in primer grey paint line up against a near new White Countach (number plate LAM 130). The Pantera ate it away from the line and by a massive margin by the quarter, plus the accompanying soundtrack was unreal biggrin !

The memory has remained ever since untainted, sorry to say the spec of the motor I have forgotten though - needless to say in Bentley terms it was "sufficient".

Great looking car and thanks for sharing it with us all.

Cheers

So good to see a write up on this great car.

Will hopefully be having a good look around this on Sunday at a not so secret location.

The owner is a top guy to and a real passionate petrolhead.

The only way to improve it would be to return it to stock.

"along with the Countach and Boxer," he says.

That´s interesting. Do you mean this? http://www.peugeot.de/peugeot-professional/nutzfah...

Father bought this 1974 GTS new in 73. Turns many more heads than my Vantage but compliments it perfectly!

Their is something very special about a supercar you can service at home on your drive!! This car is one of the true greats that ticks all the boxes before cars became cluttered with ECU's and complex wiring.

I am amazed that the kit industry haven't really replicated it yet, I don't think I have ever heard a bad word said about one.

I love the mangusta as well with its gull wing cowl doors!!

How spooky is that....!

Tomorrow I take delivery of the Pistonheads-featured-Bonhams-Goodwood FOS Pantera GT5.

It has been with a race preparation shop having a thorough overhaul and is going on the rolling road today. I have never seen it, touched it, heard it...

Porsche Iris blue with Cream and blue interior. GT5 wide arches and Delta Wing. Campagnolo Magnesium Group IV wheels like this car. They are 14" wide and run 345 section tyres at the rear. Mine is also fitted with the 180 Degree headers which are just a work of art, have a hunt on Google!! The exhuast comes straight out of the back of the car with little more than motorbike silencers to keep it reined in.

It was supposed to be at Wilton but never made it out of the shop, sorry about that. I hope it'll be there next year and all I know about it is that it is noisy. Very noisy.

Excitement doesn't even begin to register!
