I got the Tecnic mini-digger for Christmas. The new studless stuff is so different to the old Technic and I found the small set challenging with the new build methods, although i can sse my work bonus money being spent on that 'mog.

Although for the price of it, you could by a used 911, sorry wrong new car hate thread, I meant 8880 supercar instead.

Another completed Unimog here. And it's flippin' brilliant.
I could sit here all day listening to the little compressor chugging away.
Arm up......arm down......arm up....arm down. Winch in......winch out. Claw open......claw closed.....claw open again.
It's the little things in life that make me happy.

Yeah, I got this aswell (plus an awesome car with fully independent suspension from my girlfriend - I get excited about the wrong things...)!! Spent the last two days doing it and good god it's awesome, I used the motorized crane to feed roses to myself from the tin...

Excellent idea, been loading my favourite celebrations from the pot into the back of the mog, levers work backwards from the hiab on my real unimog though so might have to swap the pipes around.

Oh and I had also reversed my rear diff, must have been all the playing with it before it went in smile

I'm just about to walk up to the shops and buy that. Decided on it rather than the Mog.

I'm not sure about the 'specific pieces' in the new sets, being a stud girder man (oh yes) but the crane truck looks to me to be a better build. We'll see.....

I've got a few vintage sets in a box that I'm going to build up for the kids:

The Boxer chassis
The original red Unimog with front load hopper
The yellow Land rover tow truck
The blue tractor

Sorry don't know numbers.

Would love the Unimog to add to my small collection.
Here is my F1 Ferrari & Enzo on the staircase wall.

And here is my VW camper.

Apologies for the rubbish iPhone photos. They make great conversation pieces with guests and SWMBO puts up with my Lego and doesn't mind them being displayed so visably in the house.

I want to get Millenium Falcon ... My missus thinks I am having a midlife crisis. I am 36!!!
I started the M. Falcon last night - will post up pics later today (Weds). Oh, and I've not long turned 40 so don't worry about it wink
Please do... be good to see it.

And I have convinced the missus isn't it better to have me in doors making LEGO than out with some other Doris, making whoopie. I can now get any LEGO I want idea

So is that a self-build or do they come as kits? Not seen that format before.
Bloomin' impressive though!
(Just Googled the Lego High Street modules....£1500 for the corner cafe?!!!!
Are they uber-collectable or something?)

Think it will be happier when the tube is empty.

What I would like to see, is a proper variety of models you could build with one kit and enough parts so you could come up with your own ideas; whilst still being techincal. Would exercise the childs (parents when wished) brain. smile
