Does Chrostend to buy cars needing work rather than concours? Ie so that he can add value?

Guessing Miura full restoration is epically expensive but thankfully a car saved from the big scrapheap

Ho hum. Unless I start a classic car super car hire business then I've little chance of legally achieving these dreams. That's pretty demoralising but a reality check v
Get your finger out your arse and do something about it then? Your future is up to you, only you can shape it.

Selling his company for £225 million is probably where are a fair portion of it came from. I'd assume he's been investing and profiting from that ever since, since getting to that point in first place is no mean feat.

Lol yea so £20-25m worth of cars plus the property to go with it and ample in the bank to support that lifestyle.

You have to be realistic. He's got where he has through talent and some mega luck good for him.

In my industry frankly top of the tree really is c£250k Pa plus benefits. That sadly will never be enough not even close.

You need a business with something people want that's hard to find especially something which you are good and better than the competition.
Clearly I could risk it balls out big time and lend money to buy one on the hope it increases in value. If it doesn't or goes down well learning curve.

Why not turn up there with a stunning example of a 205 GTI or R5 GT Turbo all wallet accessible. Throw him your keys no doubt a petrol head would love a drive in those. A petrol head need not be a ££££ chap as a £500 car could be epic and a £500k car rubbish all relative.

I'm sure he wouldn't be too impressed if peopl just turned up at his pad with dross cars bur you never know

Just noticed in this months octane he's organising a "car fest" over the August bank holiday down at Jodie Scheckters farm including a hillclimb-all in aid of children in need.

Sounds like it could be a good laugh smile

Read both, they're epic!!

(Not sure I agree with the "me me me" either, they are autobiographies after all)

Are you being deliberately obtuse, or do you really not understand what that means?

I have no doubt that if you are polite and genuine Chris will give you a full tour of his garage and probably a mug of tea as well.

Aye thats right, if you are just 5 mins you have to wait round the corner out of sight until the hour is up.

I once got a ticket for returning to the car after 57 mins

Not quite quoted right

He said he had pads around the world paid for in full and then would only need £5m in cash the rest he said would be given to charity.
Not sure if he did or if he set a timescale as to when he would either.

But if someone says they are giving £x. To charity publically then it would be very difficult not.

Heck I gave a good £400 to the big charities last year noone can prove or disprove it frankly I know what I did don't care what others think. Also given his huge charity work that is well known to suggest he didn't says a lot about your trust and maybe you have a few inner deamons
