Apparently the machine detected no leaks in the 45 minutes it was plugged in.
Still, even if it doesn't last then I'll have it done again, and if I have to pay then I'll have the "we'll fix the leak" guarantee
I had the same thing recently. No leaks found, but 3-4 weeks later air con went warm again. Turned out there was a hole in the condenser. Still, if you can rinse them for another recharge, by all means go for it.Still, even if it doesn't last then I'll have it done again, and if I have to pay then I'll have the "we'll fix the leak" guarantee

Yeah.... see my post on page 1 fella.Still, even if it doesn't last then I'll have it done again, and if I have to pay then I'll have the "we'll fix the leak" guarantee
They had 4 attempts.
My advice stands in that post.
If they have a gas sniffer - it will get fixed - or will tell you what need fixing... You will see it for yourself.
If it is dye they use.... arse gravy.

Yes. I've even had a bad experience with a mechanic that was personally recommended. All you can do is try to minimise the risk.
As a mechanic who is frequently recommended, I've had some bad experiences with customers. My mate used the same place several times and was always very happy with their work - guess they had an off-day.
