Mac is in a different league IMHO - for the best part of a million quid I'd want a car that distinguishes itself from everything else out there. The pictures of it in the recent TG magazine are terrific.
I agree, but TG say its not the quickest car they have driven...what is?.for me it feels faster than 98 F1 car...

Has the P1 (or the Porsche 918 etc for that matter)released an official 300km-0km time yet? Be interesting to see with all the active aero etc.

Edit just had a quick google. P1 is rated 300km - 0km in 6.2 secs. I would be amazed if anyone could feel the difference in 2 cars that only have 0.3 secs difference in braking from 186mph!!!

The P1 also features bespoke Pirelli P-Zero Corsa tyres and specially developed carbon-ceramic brakes from Akebono. It takes 6.2 seconds to brake from 186 mph (299 km/h) to standstill, during which it'll cover 246 metres.

P1 braking figures:
60-0 mph (97-0kph), 28.1m (92ft) [2.8s]
100-0 mph (161-0kph), 79m (259ft) [3.7s]
200-0 mph (322-0kph), 294m (965ft) [6.2s]

Which according to this site - http://www.motortrend.com/features/mt_hot_list/111...

would put the F1 ahead, or behind depending on how you look at it, of the Porsche from 60mph.

Where did you get those P1 braking figures from?

McLaren's data for the P1 looks like this:
Braking
100-0 km/h m (ft) [sec] 30.2m (99ft) [2.9s]
200-0 km/h m (ft) [sec] 116m (380ft) [4.5s]
300-0 km/h m (ft) [sec] 246m (806ft) [6.2s]
Source: http://media.mclarenautomotive.com/release/228/

For the 911 GT3 RS 4.0, I cannot find official porsche numbers, but autoevolution ran a story about it becoming the world record holder for 300km/h to 0 with a 6.5s stop, which is obviously worse than the P1 number for the same thing.
Source: http://www.autoevolution.com/news/porsche-911-gt3-...

Edited to add: one thing I found quite funny is this: The P1 can apparently go from 0-62mph faster than it can go from 62mph-0.

I still think this APOLO1 bloke is BC from luxury4play... especially since we know that BC and the MP4-12C didn't exactly get along: http://i.imgur.com/CPp4sZw.jpg

(No wonder he's asking about the brakes)

Changing tune much? First a 4.0RS and a 991TS will outbrake the P1 and now only the 991TS? Why not go the whole hog and say the P1 outbrakes the Pork, now quick before someone finds real data to contradict you...again.

Maybe......But the week point on the P1 is the Brakes... they are not up to the acceleration.
Unless they require a massive amount of heat.....

Quoting myself but just released I had read it wrong. I thought it said 5.5 for the Porsche not 6.5 so the fact the P1 can do it in 6.2 obviously means you're talking ste when feeling the difference from high speed braking (from my previous comments of the P1's 6.2 and the imaginary number of 5.5 my brain computed incorrectly)

Please provide evidence the TTS out brakes the GT3RS 4.0.

And also quotes where TG say the P1 is not fastest thing they've driven.

Thank you.
