The event, the cars, the close racing, the video edit and the narration were all done brilliantly. Congratulations to all involved. Somehow I think CH will get another invite next year.

fuuuuaaaaaaaarrrrkkk that noise.

Stirling effort chaps, and props to Neil for such great film making.

I don't usually watch motor racing as I just cant get into it, but that was wonderful and I was riveted the whole time

That was brilliant.

One of my ambitions is to drive a car of my own at the Goodwood Revival - my lack of money and talent suggests that it will be an early '60s saloon car invited only for it's novelty!

Wow! What an achievement. Great video and great race. Never really wanted to go to the revival but the noise of those cars has sold it! See you next year for the win!

What a great video and have to agree with some of the comments already posted more exciting 18 mins of racing than the last few years of F1 put together!!

I watched this last night - absolutely superb. Loved the video with DC in the Mercedes 220 as well. Knocks every other motoring show into a cocked hat.

Put off watching this until I had the house free of spouse & offspring.

Glad I did, great video.

The original in car footage of Chris chasing the Cobra posted just after the Revival was impressive. Even more impressed after now seeing just how much pressure he was under from behind at the same time... surely worthy of another crack next year.

Overall, a very impressive piece of film making.

And that Lister has to be one of the most beautiful and best sounding cars ever built. Just a stunning machine. That noise cloud9

Hope the car gets invite again next year, Chris and Anthony deserve another go, historic racing is the cream, the rest just follows on.

Immense effort to get the car to the starting grid chaps, 3.8 strong old lump.

Great admirer of monkey's skills and the commentary was good as well.
much respect.

Wonderful. Just wonderful. I had both my heart in my mouth and a big grin on my face when you were dicing with the front three in the early laps. Truly stirring stuff, the best I've seen this year certainly. PS what a nutcase Jean Alesi was! Blatant false start off the line and I can only imagine Lord Bamford's reaction to the gallic shrug he would have no doubt given having stepped out of the car with the left hand side slightly flatter than when he started!

Exceptional video. I was on the edge of my seat as Monkey took the lead then again when watching the "rubbing" going on through the field and then those last few minutes in the rain, will they/won't they?

Outstanding - thanks!

I was there! That has just brought it all back, and boy was that rain bad near the end...horrible, dark conditions. Heartbreaking seeing Monkey and A Reid lose the win, but what a heroic race. Here to next year Chris!

Superb. Driving in the wet though - no visibility whatsoever. CH to recreate Rendezvous in that car!

Well done to Chris for the video and the driving. I played this on my big telly with volume set to loud while I had the house to myself. That was more entertaining than watching F1.
2nd wasn't too shabby a result but I can imagine the disappointment after getting so close to the win. Top stuff and it looked like Anthony had his work cut out in those conditions.

Super video, thanks for sharing.

What was it about the Aston that made it so much better in the rain?

It said in the film.
It was heavier and more softly sprung. This means more weight transfer as the car brakes or leans in a corner, giving more grip to the tyres that need it.
