RE: New Subaru WRX revealed

Death? End? I think you're missing that their global profit has gone through the roof and that the US loves them more than any other region. They're doing things very right in that respect so while this might not be to everyones taste, it'll sell very well.
Unfortunately, I am not a US soccer mum.I am, instead, one of those pesky "hoons", who expects performance from a performance car, and I'm not afraid to say that.
This car has apparently put on weight, and has dropped performance as a result. The CVT is a joke for the once-proud marque.
Hard-won motorsport legacy, squandered. Despair, painful to watch, sadness.

It has one foot in the WRC and the other foot in 1987.
I'm curious... have you actually looked at the photos of the car? And have you actually seen a car from 1987?I have to ask as I can't think of a single car from 1987 which looks anything like this. There were good looking cars, and bad looking cars, but there weren't any cars like this.
Or do you just mean that they made red cars back then too?

It was supposed to be a humorous comment on the woeful and dated styling of the Subaru rather than an accurate reflection on the designs of 1987. You really shouldn't take things so literally. A sense of humour seems to have eluded you today so I'm sorry for that. I have to ask as I can't think of a single car from 1987 which looks anything like this. I have looked at losts of Subaru pictures lately - including the previews in American magazines of the new Levorg and I still maintain that they desperately need a new stylist. It is NOT a good looking car.

Not sure a soccer mum drives a WRX but I wish they did :P I don't think anyone can doubt this'll be a performance car but certainly not a limited edition like a 22B...because this just just a boggo WRX. They've also been doing autos for years and it's just an option for those who want it. Anyway I wouldn't speculate until it's been driven and the actual stats are out. Any photos of your 22B?I am, instead, one of those pesky "hoons", who expects performance from a performance car, and I'm not afraid to say that.
