Bit of predjudice creeping in there perhaps?
I drive a 12 year old Focus and my usual place isn't the local 2 4 1...
Very well but do you spend £700 on a meal for two?I drive a 12 year old Focus and my usual place isn't the local 2 4 1...
This daft bint should've knocked it on the head when the bill approached one monthly car payment let alone two. She's heard the word "free" and pretended to be a high roller for the night.
If she usually spent so much on eating out I doubt she'd be so uncouth to go to the media. She'd have coughed up the other half and got on with her life.

I agree though, she's is a stupid idiot and it's bitten her on the arse.

You drive an 8 year old Lexus, so what?
I'm not sure what I drive has got to do with anything, I don't drive a Ferrari either, but I'm not sending £700 dinner bills to car dealers.I've been in situations where I've wanted people to pay for things that I'd already paid for. I spent £300 on my VW at an independent repairing a 'known fault', wrote VW a non-threatening letter, they refunded the cost in full. If they hadn't, so be it, my fault for not asking them first.
Seems pretty simple to me. If you stump up the money out of your own pocket, you need to be sure on the t&cs before spending anything.

My local Audi garage was so utterly feckless it pretty much put me off the brand. Any paint on any car is annoying, if, like me, you are not OCD about your car it wont matter, but I can assure you others are not quite as forgiving. Since when was it fking acceptable for the a garage which you are paying for a service to damage your car? In this case they shouldn't have entered into an open agreement, the process should have been call the owner, fix the paint and offer the service and/or MOT free, end of discussion. This publicity makes them and the car owner look bad.

What an utterly selfish woman, yes, maybe Audi should have stated a price limit, but to actually state one to her probably would have come across as a bit stingy.
Everyone wants something for nothing these days, accidents happen, I'd have been happy for them to just fix it and provide a courtesy car in the mean time...

The article I read said it was a third party that damaged her vehicle, but Audi gave her a courtesy car and the meal as compo, because it was under her care.
