Paid £6K 21 years ago.... slightly overpaid for that one
The owner has only had it about 2 years, must've bought it privately.
I have long wondered this, but how do posters know when a 'plate was bought or transferred?

Search for the plate here. Only shows plates sold by the DVLA since late 90s I think.

Would be surprised if it's a double X in the middle.
Single X is for non accredited diplomatic staff.

Funnily enough, I saw a diplomatic plate with X in the middle in Leeds today.
An Audi A3 from the Chinese embassy apparently.
Also saw 1 DHN on a Nissan Qashqai and 1 MTK on a Merc E350CDI Coupe, both in Leeds city centre.

Whats the website where you can find the previously paid prices of numberplates and thier current worth roughly?

At work we have JSB99 which currently lives on the work van!

Possibly the mayors car?
Could be the most expensive Rover 75 if it went up for sale.

I was passed by an Aston on the motorway the other day. Reg was AM2! Bet that cost a pretty penny!

I imagine this is buried in the annals of five volumes somewhere already, but still:

Sorry no pics, local to us is a "his & hers" set of "BOO 800" and "800 BOO", carefully lettered to both read as "boo boo" been local for years passing down the family.

I remember them on an E30 M3 and a Saab 99 Turbo in the late 80s

Now one's on a XC90 mobile creche, obviously the kids aren't into cars like mum and dad were!

1MX on a Fiesta. One of those cases of a plate being worth multiples of the car value me thinks.
