- small toolkit with a few screwdrivers, Allen keys, selection of odd spammers and socket set.
- extendable wheel brace.
- foot pump
- hi via vests
- old 3T lifting strop to use as tow rope
- jump leads
- various ratchet straps and bungee straps
- decent first aid kit
- head torch
- couple of litres of water
- picnic blanket
- 13-7pin trailer board adaptor
- many many bags for life
- a road atlas my wife insists on keeping in the car although she can't navigate with it.

Should probably rationalise that lot somewhat!

For my company car anything I can't be bothered to lug in after being at work/out. Last check among usual detritus was a hand powered emergency lamp, a small potted cactus that I thought would look better at home and a hair dryer that no one can attest to.

Why? Do you have a very unreliable car or no shed /garage at home?

I bet poor old Jack is pissed off being carried around in the boot with that lot.
Preventive maintenance. If I keep it all in the car it doesn't go wrong wink

They're in there from the last track day - wasn't sure there'd be enough tread to get home legally afterwards on the usual set, so put the spares in just in case.

Boot liner, dog bed, spare dog towel for drying off said dog.

Sometimes it holds a Labrador but he's currently recovering from a slipped disc in his back so he doesn't go in the car as we can't go to our favourite walking place till he's better. frown

If I'm going off roading then recovery ropes and stuff go in the boot.

OBD code reader lives in the glovebox.

In the case of my new car, all the lovely standard German stuff it came with, and a sheet so it doesn't get dirty.
In the case of my previous car, a transit van, that someone tried to park there.

That makes sense, in the turns it probably holds the back end down a bit as well. biggrin
