Worst car to be behind on your favorite road
Discussion
Motor bikes are rubbish to get stuck behind as they tend to kick up a lot of stones and dust since they track in the middle of the lane that is dirtier than the cars twin tracks. When getting ready to overtake them the front of my car takes a beating, also bikes, often, then want to race you or think you're racing them, which I never am.

Bikes are rubbish if you're stuck behind them because invariably they are significantly faster accelerating and can overtake back far easier. It's rare that you do get stuck behind one but infuriating when you do.I just try and get a look at the driver. If they have grey hair or a "mum hairdo" you probably want to overtake asap.
With Mr 330d who tries to block your overtake, just start drifting back into his lane while he's blocking. I imagine most people move at this point, double points if you already have dents.

Honda Jazz seems to crop up a lot in these threads and I've been giving it some thought as to why.
The reason can only be that the speedo over reads by 50%, so when they are doing 40 it is because their speedo says 60. This may also be why they flash their lights when you overtake and disappear into the distance, because from their perspective you are doing 80+.

There's a road near me that is a 25mph limit. No junctions for 2 miles. Most people drive it far faster than that.
Over took a Merc C200d a few days ago, who was dawdling at under the 25mph limit. He then tried to chase me the 4 miles into town Quite why he went from being in no hurry whatsoever to wanting to chase me down, I have no idea.

The car or driver in front isn't as annoying as the reactions you get when you overtaken them. Horns/headlights, sudden need to try and chase you down at 60mph when they'd previously been happy at 20mph.
I see this all the time, and I can't understand it, no matter how hard I try.If you were happy to speed up to try and block my overtake, GO FASTER IN THE FIRST PLACE.

Any car driven by someone wearing a hat. I'll make an exception for convertibles with the roof down, as long as it isn't an old boy in a Morgan wearing a leather flying helmet.
Ah yes. Any headgear is a warning sign for me too.Edited by swisstoni on Friday 21st October 14:10

It's rare that you do get stuck behind one but infuriating when you do.I once had the misfortune to follow THE world's worst rider down a nice bit of road near me.
It was a girl on some sort of Ducati sportsbike (can't remember exactly which, but one of their proper sportsbikes) out for a ride with a male counterpart. He soon disappeared into the distance, she, on the other hand, would go round even the slightest bend at about 20mph as if it were a 50p piece; lean, upright, lean, upright, lean, upright. As soon as it opened onto a straight though, full twist of the wrist and off she'd go at +60/70mph.
Now she was a bit slow getting on the throttle out of one bend and I was ready for the straight coming up so I got on it as early as possible. Did she let me pass? Did she fk!
We eventually get into town where she then wanders around within her lane and then out of her lane and into mine without looking. If it had been someone else in my position that hadn't just witnessed her pisspoor riding ability over the last 7 or so miles then she could well have ended up squished under a car. Stupid fking bint.
What made it worse was that her buddy had just disappeared. It was obvious to me within about 30secs of following her that she couldn't ride for st so surely he must have known that as well, yet chose to ps off and leave her to it. s the pair of them.
Cool story yadda yadda yadda...
