RE: McLaren Senna - full details

Yipper is a very unfortunate person. His posts are either his actual thoughts and beliefs, in which case he's incredibly stupid and clearly can't read and interpret what he's reading..... Or he's just trolling.... But to be doing so for such a long period of time, on such a wide variety of subjects then that would be incredibly sad as well.
Either scenario is quite unfortunate for the person I think.

Truly vulgar. Can't be far off the worst looking car of all time?... Definitely in contention.
I hope the Senna family take this lot to court and get their name taken off the name of the car.
Yeah, they had no idea their name was used. I think the 10k per car royalty helps with their outrage.I hope the Senna family take this lot to court and get their name taken off the name of the car.

Announcing a car after pre-emptively selling them all is a slap in the face to the regular customers.
I don't really agree. It's a £750k car before options. 90% of McLaren customers are paying up to £300k max for their vehicles.
A potential £500k jump is big one for the majority of these customers, so I don't think that many will feel alienated.

I'd rather stick red hot pokers simultaneously in my eyes and ears. Its like Ian Beale in Eastenders, similar effect but time and exposure has reduced the effect.
Why does he call himself "Schmee" anyway, is it like "Its SHH Me" ?

No offence to Tim, but Evo have a feature on it by Steve Sutcliffe and likewise Carfection (a Henry Catchpole vid)Edited by fbc on Wednesday 7th February 22:16
I watched the Carfection video on it earlier. It's truly awful looking. I'm sure it's technically fantastic and will look dramatic in the flesh but I will never warm to it. A Chiron is more desirable imo.
Coming from the P1, which I thought looked amazing, the Senna (which is a name that ranks alongside LaFerrari for its awfulness) had a hard act to follow but I'm sure they could've done something better aesthetically...

Struggling greatly to be interested in this.
1: It's ugly
2: I know that in ~18 months the mid range McLaren will be faster than it in the same way that the 720S is as fast or faster than the P1 around a track.
3: The AMG and Aston Valkyrie are on a different level of track focusedness.
4: All McLaren's are essentially faster than anyone could actually use on the road and slower on the track than a much cheaper dedicated track car.
I think we're really in the last age of the supercar, when technology allows them to get so fast as to be pointless. FFS the next Tesla Roadster is going to be able to match an F1 car in acceleration (0-100 in 4.2) for $250,000.
I think motorbikes are ahead of cars in this regard, the Fireblade was in the late 90's the best selling bike in the UK. However as superbikes are now up to 200bhp the best selling bikes are adventure bikes, nakeds and replica's.

What a hound dog of a car. Good thing hardly any of the owners will ever drive them. The humiliation of being laughed at on the streets of Knightsbridge would be too much I’m sure.
Love the tech specs. Really do. Those braking distance specs are amazing. But no matter how hard they try, the deaigners have to make technical compromises for this to be a road car. Why they then decided to completely ignore any attempt to style this thing aesthetically is beyond me. Fast cars don’t have to look like the work of Stevie Wonder...
Having said all that, i tip my hat to the few owners that will actually track this thing. I look forward to seeing that! Hopefully they will get to fit slicks for the occasion and reallly unleash it.
