I always get a bit uncomfortable with these threads, they always tend to go the same way until the card gets played.

It does seem to be a growing problem, i.e. over excitable young men in an urban settings driving what are some very fast cars beyond any speed limit or their meagre ability, not always at weddings, I had occasion to go through Manchester yesterday and some chaps in an 08 plate S3 went flying past and were trying to goad me into a race, er, really, in Manchester City centre and the Mancunian way, with loads of traffic due to the great Manchester run ? and by the way, if you are reading this, that clutch didnt smell so hot, well actually, it smelt really, really hot when you left the pedestrian crossing at full chat biggrin

Sorry, but mine is registered to me and I cant run that fast when it all inevitably goes wrong.

Perhaps broaden horizons beyond hammering round city centres in rented, borrowed or otherwise dodgy cars and get involved in doing track days or something ?
On my walk to Oxford Road station through the week I usually see a S3 do a 100m dash between lights. I sometimes wonder if he will realises that he is in stop start traffic and the cars/lights don't disappear if he presses the accelerator. Maybe one day.

I wonder if they were rented?

I also wonder, given the lack of ethnic diversity of the crowd. And the curry on the car; for some reason.

If the cars were rented and being driven badly in conjunction with some kind of religious festival.

Or are we not allowed to point out the obvious from the pictures anymore?
Yes, you are allowed to. Keep harping up the imaginary 'PC is everywhere' persecution tree though.

What do you expect, it's the Scum. Not fit to wipe your arse with.

I would be very surprised if the two drivers were actually the people who hired the cars and who were covered by the hire-car insurance scratchchin

Not sure "PC is everywhere" but there does seem to be some casual racism and also some moral highground being taken in these types of threads.

Couldn't agree more, maybe they think they are being cleaver by 'thinly veiling' their prejudices..... only they're not as anyone with half a brain knows what they are getting at. On top of that there is the whole envy scenario over the cars. Witness the numberplate thread recently when the plate FA57EST was mocked but the plate JU57TAP was praised. Guess which one was on a Porsche and which one was on a van?

I'd rather they were just open about it instead of pretending that someone, somewhere is telling them not to say stty things.

If you're gonna be racist then be racist, don't hide behind wording as if the PC hammer is gonna come at you. People will rightly judge them for being a tt instead of saying 'oooh you can't say that'.

I presume that you're not very clued up on car hire, in that case?

Do you really think it's that easy to rent a Porsche and a Ferrari with fake details? Even if they knew someone who worked there, it's really not that simple.

What happens with your private insurance if for example, you rented a supercar and someone else took it 'without your consent' and crashed it and legged it?

He's implying that the people who rented them then passed them on to others for a fee.

This one doesn't say "sold", but doesn't show in their current inventory...

Not seeing many quickly visible differences with the crashed one. Colour, interior, wheels, calipers, black shields.
Clearly aquaplaning, so I assume that's what started the accident.

Yellow stuff on Porsche is of course custard. Driver was said to be seen taking pictures of car with custard on roof before driving off with custard still on the roof.

That's realistic.

Again, professionally offended is all in your head. There's no such thing as 'PC', there's just people with stty views and those without who don't like reading/seeing/hearing them. Those that decry the PC culture know they're spouting stty stuff and don't want to be called out on it.

The posts would rightly be censored and the poster banned for spouting racism, which shouldn't be tolerated.

Unless you think it's fine?

Rewording it merely to imply the racism and thinking that you're being 'clever' about it is being a cowardly stehawk as opposed to being simply a stehawk.

My apologies. I never realised that this was a thing.

So, is that what we reckon happened here? As said above, i'm not sure why you'd run off otherwise, especially if all of your personal details should be with the rental company anyway.
