I'm surprised it took until page 4 before these were posted. No rim is more associated with a particular car than these. Style 65 = BMW M5

Struggling to attach photos, but I would second the poster who mentioned the ridiculous trend of "diamond" cut/polished surfaces over black wheels and 40/35/30 profile tyres on almost every new car on sale. In a country that puts salt on roads for 3-6 months of the year with road surfaces of such poor quality these wheels are an eyesore on almost every second hand car you look at now. A wheel refurb will need to be factored into most deals for anyone of a "polisher/detailing" persuasion. I wish I'd been brave enough to get into wheel repair and refurb 5 years ago.

Favourite wheels, Ford RS 4 spokes , Ford RS 7's (and softlines) , LR "Mondials" , Manta "ATS" 5 spokes, BMW style 108's , Minis on minilites. Ferrai 328 era 5-spokes..(non trx) .

Worst wheels... those Insignia Ariel wheels make a strong case.

good topic!

Maybe controversial, I do really like most of Porsche's wheels but cannot stand the 997 Turbo 5-spokes:

One of my all time faves though, TVR's Spider wheel:

I LOVE those wheels. Sorry.

Even better on a non-GTS:

And they have the rim code 666M smile

They are nice but the rims look to big for the car for me
I agree. I actually think that the E46 looks absolutely perfect on the stock 18s.

Yep, me at 09:54 but without a photo. Lovely looking wheels and suit the car perfectly.

Best:

Brabus Monoblocks. Beautifully machined, crazy deep dish, mirror finish. Lacquer lasted about 10 minutes, and they bent every time they hit a pothole. Cost me thousands in repairs and refinished and replacements. But oh how I loved them.

(not my photo)

Agree. There's just nothing right with them.
Odd, flat styling on a car with defined arches. Tucked too far into said arches. Weird partial polished bits. Strange, swoopy design.

Yep, those GT86 ones are the exact type I was on about. I saw a Nissan (I think) crossover at lunch with very similar ones. Just atrocious.

There's a white GT86 down the road from me, I think the guy bought it new, I walk my dog past the house and noticed after a few weeks he'd swapped them for some much nicer bronze motorsport-style ~10 spokes.

Ford are one of those companies that turn-out everything, from the absolutely stunning one minute, to letting the work experience lad "design" these the next:

Jesus wept.

It's like somebody had a set of 70s Revolutions described to them over a really bad phone line.
What car has those Jap wheels OEM ?
Wheels on the Escort are not Revolutions, they're Ford's own RS alloy by Ronal.

Completely agree. Love the car (especially a Blue BRZ) but HATE the wheels. Infact, all of these half painted things. There is a clio which is especially bad.

These on the other hand...

Again, I think that the less common wheel choice is better on the M3...

I'm going to nominate these Speedlines as both the best AND the worst

Best because they just SO suited the 155 but worst because they were literally made of chocolate.

They are plastic and got left next to a hot radiator.
