Shame to see the MX5 disappear from our shores next year.
Don't think they're going anywhere! The colour range on offer is poor, I really wanted this orange but the price premium was nowhere near worth it.

what will discounts be like?
Won't get much off the 30th Anniversary. You can easily get £3k off a normal model. I know I did on my Sport Nav, so all the nice extras (BBS wheels, aero kit, alcantara kit, lowering springs, sports backbox, sports pedals) were free and it was still cheaper than list!Edited by Ali_T on Tuesday 16th July 16:17
that orange provides just the shock you want on that sort of car
although, if we go in the direction of this colour, I do prefer the classical look of a signal yellow
it's a frequent topic of conversation, how Mazda have cornered the market on mass-market roadsters
sort of a "winner takes most" dynamic; kind of like Google and other technology businesses (if not for the same exact reasons)

Do these come on lowered springs already? The pictures don't look like they are and the Mazda website seems to say they are not an option either
Dealer fit option rather than a factory option. Not sure thats the right part number as the online catalog seems to be missing the ND at present, I think that link is for the NC but they are available last time I checked.ash73 said:
Does that count as a mod for insurance?
Of course, as its not factory fit. Same as if you had the dealer change the alloys or fit a different stereo before delivery, you should always tell the insurance company, never give them an excuse to not pay out in the event of a claim.SFO said:

Discounted to £25,895 at some dealers but be quick, only a few left.
which dealers?Peterborough Mazda - £25,895
Romford - £26.143
Warwick - £26,269
Stourbridge - £26,300
I could go on. It appears that their initial "no discounts" policy has had to go to the wayside to get these out the door. Interestingly I assumed they were the same spec as the GT Sport Nav but with the extras, but they are actually missing a few features and are more like a Sport Nav with extras. If you actually care about that.
FWIW I didn't try all that hard and got a GT Sport Nav in Soul Red down to £22,768 with their "finance deposit" which they weren't offering on the 30th AE. The 30th AE was £28k at the time so impossible to justify, and I think you'd have to really want the extras and the colour to stump up another £3,100 for them (assuming you could get the same price that I did for the regular car).
There are now cars available new for less than £24k ... and I was told that there is a big price increase planned for next year's model ...
Upgrading from my low miles nearly four year old ND 2.0 Sport Nav has cost me £11k ... and I gain another three years warranty and all the extra goodies plus a more powerful motor / stop-start / etc
I reckon that's value ...

Using Man-maths I’d say they were paying you. That is a result.Upgrading from my low miles nearly four year old ND 2.0 Sport Nav has cost me £11k ... and I gain another three years warranty and all the extra goodies plus a more powerful motor / stop-start / etc
