3 weeks and almost 2000 miles since last wash. How do you guys do it? I don’t know if it’s the red but the dirt just doesn’t show that well.
Drive a bit faster!

It’s not the red, as you can see from my red 330d earlier in the thread!
Dirtier roads and high speeds needed biggrin

I try too, but my driving is mainly in rush hour so it’s tricky. I did go round some country lanes at the weekend that were recovering from flooding, that helped but it still isn’t disgusting enough.

It rarely sees motorways, most of my driving is A roads.

60 miles a day for 2 weeks, mainly back roads or medium speed DC’s. it hadn’t been washed for 3 mo this prior to that either!

Silver hides it so well, up close lots of splatters. My black Z4 would look worse after taking it off the drive!

This was on my works laptop dated 2016. I presume it was saved off this thread from back then but just had to share.

Hopefully, if it was posted here the original OP will appear and take credit biggrin

Doing about 300 miles a week just now so will present my own effort at some point.

Early in 2016 if I remember correctly after a long drive to a Cadwell track day.

What do you think of it so far? Need to replace my C250 Estate next year and these look good (if a little dull) as a family wagon.

Do it.

Quite understated, it drives well and I like the fact it stays under the radar a bit. Quieter than the Golf R, bigger too, although it still sounds ok when booting it, and none of the fake noise crap either. DCC is very effective, and it comes with loads of kit as standard.

My only negatives are:

•Economy is crap, but that's probably my driving...
•Sunroof and heated windscreen not available, I miss these
•Those ridiculous fake exhaust shape things in the lower rear bumper - just why?! Give me a single round or oval outlet each side, please!

P.S. a stage 1 remap or DTUK box will take them to >330bhp too, although TBF, it's not slow anyway

I decided to go along the country lanes to get it proper dirty. It’s nice and dirty but my rally driving did end in tears

Even if the M1 was clean as a whistle, just driving around Lincoln and up to Cadwell would be enough to cause that hideous filth! I can't believe how clean the roads are in Cheshire now I've moved, compared to Lincolnshire.

Currently in a courtesy car, got it spotless at 5pm last night. This is it this morning at 8am. Quite proud of that.

My E91 doing what it does best, full of camera gear fully laden, been up and down the country for the past couple of weeks.

Derby/Cornwall/Manchester, fast salty Motorways and dirty A roads will do it.

Building up a nice layer, was washed two weeks ago and polished, don't know why I bother!...Won't be washed probably until the new year now, will just wipe numberplate and carry on - will report back then biggrin

Another 2k on my insignia in the last fortnight and it’s no more dirty than it was, salty motorways are a myth.

I’m going From Cardiff- manchester and back next week in a hire car so we shall see how dirty that gets

Anyone wanna guess what it will be? (Insigina or equivalent from thrifty)
