Interesting side by sides.

They also did the prototype for the new TVR Griffith wink

Only a couple of nice ones out of the 12 'prettiest'!
https://www.roadandtrack.com/car-culture/classic-c...
Which they recycled into an Aston Martin:

Vanquish Zagato
That Aston looks amazing but I really like practical cars like the FF and this where you can chuck a bike in the back.

Like the a110 design too but it's a bit pricey for a rebodied Mégane RS.

Zagato's attempt at a Corvette rebody Iso Rivolta GTZ. Stunning and a great attempt at bringing an 60s design into the 21 century. Also 19 made.

You do realise the A110 has the engine in the middle? And drive to the rear wheels rather than the front? And a completely different lightweight aluminium platform? Realise you may be being subtly sarcastic and I may be due a whoosh parrot.. jester

yeah quirky, but I love it, small/wide (length/wide wise) I love strange compact cars, forgot the name of this model, but I guess its rare...

It’s a racing car, not a bad kit car.

I can't recall ever thinking a Zagato looked better than the original. This is no different.

Love everything about it, Zagato will always divide opinion though.

Glad I'm not the only fan of this.

I was starting to think I'm the only one to like cars that aren't boring.

Sadly, many people don't realise that at all. I've noticed this on many Alpine threads. It's quite funny isn't it. Reminds me of my mum, whose husband forbade her from buying a new beetle when they came out 'because rear engined'....d'oh. (She bought one anyway, had it years!)

I never got the veneration of Zagato. All they seem to do is ruin my favourite cars.

This:

Is infinitely prettier than this:

Each to their own, but I think Zagato produced some of the coolest and prettiest cars of the '50s and early '60s. I agree that their later designs are often less successful though.

It seems to be a facility for people who like the car in question but find it simply isn’t exclusive enough to tickle their fancy to achieve bragging rights.
Their claim to fame used to be their ability to make competitive lightweight racing cars. However they later pivoted towards the "exclusivity marked" when coachbuilt racing cars no longer were competitive. But exclusivity is basically the appeal of any coachbuilt special.

The fact that he didn’t come back to me to say he got me rather proves the point doesn’t it George? I guess I’d kind of hoped he was taking the mick on a website where you’d think those who commented would at least know where the engine was in a particular car but seemingly that isn’t the case… rolleyes

As an amusing asides my wife nipped up the 40 miles north over Axe Edge to see her dad in our A110 last night night and when she opened the bonnet to get her overnight bag out his next door neighbour who was wheeling his bin out (upon seeing there wasn’t an engine there) asked her what her ‘electric car’ was like to drive. When she told him it wasn’t electric and the engine was in the middle he just said ‘eh?’ biglaugh

The long tail is marvelous...and a nice nod to the Le Mans heritage.

the short tail version I dont really get.
It's part of the A220. The tail came off of normal racing and was put in for an endurance race.

Ergo, with this homage one would use it as a short tail of just nipping to the shops but put the long tail on if having to go and visit the mother in law.

I rather like that.

I really don't get the violent dislike, I think it works well and meets the intentions stated they were trying to achieve. Just need that big lottery win...
