As impressive as the Fighter looks on paper I seriously doubt it will have the stability and handling capabilities of the Veyron, build quality etc. It's the overall package that makes it what it is.
On what basis do you make that statement? All Bristols are designed with high aerodynamic integrity from the start, so tend not to need addenda to correct cosmetic indulgences and keep glued to the road.
And no idea where the build quality comment comes from either.

Oh, stop being silly.
Forget the pious claptrap, forget the perception of a supposed wonderful supercar lost to posterity; think past the cynical use of Bugatti's name attached to a car that has absolutely no association with his company, or that the driver survived to pay out yet another barrow load of cash on the repairs as he did to buy the thing, and see the thousands of loyal VW workers who lost their jobs while the chairman of VW, Ferdinand Piech, instructed millions be spent on making the "Bugatti" Viagra work. Then think about the atrocious decrease in VW vehicle reliability and design over the past decade, see the perilous state of VW finances partly rescued by Porsche, and suddenly the justice of that photo becomes a lot clearer ... unless you prefer to put metal before human beings.
And there's also the irony of a car that boasts the most expensive driver safety components in the world and it still gets involved in a crash. I'd have laughed as much if its battery had packed up.
Reality ... doncha just love it?

You do half come out with some shit in your time. Most of what you said could be applied to TVR & Smolenski, and I bet you wouldn't post this next time a Tuscan/Sagaris crashes.
It's LA's instinctive need to defend the troll coming out AGAIN.
What do you reckon, LA, which one is Chav, back from the dead..?
Or could it be both of them...?

diesel, ice, stray dog, child about to run out into the road to collect football etc.
God, imagine that.... your child runs into the road (foolishly of course) and causes a €1m car smash! Try fast talking your way out of that one. Third party liability insurance? Blimey, the thought of it makes me shudder....

So, any word on where the salvage rights went? I could find a very interesting use for certain componants of that vehicle...
Let me guess, you just want the badges and rear wing for your Corsa right?
Corsa? Tsk.
Its a Cavalier....
Mind you, I reckon in a lighter chassis it should be good for eights over the quarter...

The Veyron isn't a lorry, it's the same size as a Ferrari 360 and weighs just a few kgs more than an Aston Martin DB9...
Do they weigh 2.2 tonnes as well?
About 1900 kilos, and although it was supposed to get to 200mph in 18.6secs it has only managed 186mph in that time.Still, quite quick.
Mark.

Fair enough then. I suppose that's 1900kg+fluids (the Veyron's 2200+ includes fluids but not petrol IIRC)

My opinion of the Veyron is that I don't own one, will never own one, will probably never see one, will never drive one, and I therefore want one.
Likewise.
I wonder what they'd say if I asked for one with hand controls...
Joking aside that can't be too difficult to do with a Veyron - it already has gear paddles and the throttle will be electronic too. Just the brakes to hook up and you're away.
