Nice - so is it based on an older car then, that was already built if pre SVA?
Not much of a fan of replica's but does look very period unlike some of the Hideous things around.
Barley Mo in East Horsley Hosts the Surrey Cobra Club - Top Bloke owns it (TR racer and ex owner of 2 Real FIA Race Cobras (REAL ones only - below).
Jon,this car has had a new engine fitted as the original engine has been rebuilt and is now in the other Cobra that John Andon used to own.
Here`s a photo of the only 427 Cobra I have evr seen racing, its Csx3032 owned by Bill Murray in the States.
289FIA - Hmm and it has a 302 in it! (not very FIA?).

Nice one Alex, I see you had a Chimaera and like me, asked "What more do I want..?"
I loved that Chimaera but the Cobras are so extreme, bad weather may see them living in the garage a lot, but when the sun comes out..
Always interesting to compare the different detail of each replica, and the originals of course.
In such a lightweight car, even a 200 horse RV8 will go, when you try one with a 400 hp Yank motor it is sensational.

Cheng says their changing brake fluid, oils etc, start the engine up etc; I imagine that car sat dormant for most of the time.
Its fascinating looking @ the subtle differences from replicas; the front wheel arches on the AC, and also the lack of clearance between seat and steering wheel. My car is waiting for bits, will take pics when I collect.
Paul is the car blue with white stripes ?I know the car that Rod Leach has for sale is one a continuation car that has been built on one of the chassis that was supplied to Paramount Film Studios for the film Monte Carlo or Bust. Its fascinating looking @ the subtle differences from replicas; the front wheel arches on the AC, and also the lack of clearance between seat and steering wheel. As was the Cobra that Rod Leach used to own "COB 1" which had a 427 fitted with twin turbo`s.....
I love the Gumball - could never make it now. Pity about Raul Julia (So young).
Harold the Cobra link on you page need to be changed - not working to :- http://mysite.wanadoo-members.co.uk/accobras
JA even had a spare Webbered FIA lump just sitting in one of his garages!
I did check with him when I got the Griff if he would take offers on it, but found he had sold both and the spare lump by then!

Nice to see some "proper" Cobras still about, at one point I thought the SVA had killed them off
(SVA approved Cobras).
The Gumball rally movie sparked my interest in Cobras.
Bit of a continuity issue in this shot(ouch)
They actually used 2 427 Cobra`s in this movie(SVA approved Cobras).

I was heart broken when I noticed the Countach in the Canonball run was in FF
Thanks.
Harold, the car is unstriped, a beautiful gunmetal color, and..my camera had a flat battery; so couldn't take any pics..!
Cheng did mention that Mr Leach would appreciate some discretion, which is fair enough, the noisy lifters were all changed on my Ford Windsor, feels SO different now, Cheng gets a big recommendation as he never lets me down, well chuffed!
Had a brilliant drive back to Romford on lightly trafficked roads, that was Dec 18, been a bit of an alcoholic blur since then..

Yep that is fine - I'd experiment with it till it works as joe bloggs user toggling in it.
How About a bit on that Crazy Italian Bodied job that Nostalgia used to sell regularly! with the 427 underneath it (was that the Wilment Cobra thing - I don't think so - Frua bodied thing maybe - I'll have to check and fine a picture)?
Is that Salvadori in 65? Looks like a Bryant and it has a modern TopHat logo on the car.
I reall do hate that spoiler (I would not let it run with it at a meeting I ran).

Willment Cobra ran very well at Goodwood Revival last year in the hands of Desire Wilson,
"In 1964 the Willment team decided to build their own version of the Daytona Coupe. Willment had approached Shelby about a Daytona Coupe but was turned down flat. John Olsen, who had been badly burned in the first Coupe’s outing at Daytona, had returned to England and as luck would have it was working at Willment.
A set of Daytona Coupe plans was sent to England and with John Ohlsen’s first hand experience a new body buck was constructed. Frank Gardner did the re- engineering of the new version, which had slightly less frontal area, the result of a “chopped top”. Geoff Gilbert and Frank Shattock built the car. Their car was visually similar to the Daytona Coupe, the primary difference being a nearly horizontal rear window, which resulted in a larger truncation at the rear end. The Willment Coupe was not ready in time for Le Mans, but it eventually went on to a long and successful career."

No dod not think that was it - I'll look for it and post a pic.
They only made one - pure one off on a 427 chassis / engine - NUTZ!
Frua bodied? They only made one - pure one off on a 427 chassis / engine - NUTZ!
When I have a chance I'll look - maybe try Nostalgia (but as just a Car Shop basically douby anything there). It was a bodied of a low run Italian car that they put on just one 427 - Amazing things - Awesome.
