Some say that the Stig asked for a 335d for Christmas.

I heard the old black stigs heart is actually a mini 335d engine and for the white stig they just changed his race suit and helmet and remapped his 'brain'

To to try and eek some sort of usefulness to this thread. What are the downsides of remapping? I have heard of autoboxes giving up the ghost with all the extra torque, why what about the engines? To the turbos wear out much faster?

The petrol 335 owners are just the same.

I had a chance meeting with a friend from yankee doodle land last week.

He was convinced that it would trounce my car because it had,

"ovah faw hunnrah futt powns ah tawk"

(babel fish has yet to supply a translation)

I countered this argument with the fact that his lardy nose-heavy repmobile would be lost at the first bend.

His reply?

He categorically denied the existence of bends in road.

This came as no surpise to me, as earlier, he had argued with me that cars with two pedals were not solely for the elderly, infirm or females.

Silly billy!

I was walking to work this morning through the station car park, and a 330d ci was driving towards me, and I thought "that looks nice" then as it got closer it had this horrible rattly noise.

As chance would have it, behind it, was a 330ci (really!), the noise (well lack of) was so much nicer. I wouldn't care which one was quicker, the ci as a noisy diesel goes against the purpose of getting a sport coupe.

Noise makes a big difference when enjoying a cars potential.

Is a 335 petrol remapped, quicker than a 335 diesel remapped?

A man walks into a bar with a Newt on his shoulder.

He asks for a pint for him and and a soda water for Tiny.

The Barman says "Whys he called Tiny then?"

Man: "Because he's my newt."

He posts on another forum as well which I really used to enjoy reading but now seems full of people whose parents bought them 3 Series Sports as first cars and who need to get a reference to the fact their Dad has a Range Rover Vougue into every thread.

The barman says "thats strange, where did you get that from?"

The toad replies "would you believe it started as a wart on my ar*e?"
