The car in the picture looks like a replica
Dammit! Another case of the plate costing more than the car? hehe
Not quite.

Replica with a twist... based on a 1958 Ferrari 330GT.

History here:

The BBC did an excellent documentary on the Hunt v Lauda battle, and one of the things that struck me was the level of bitterness still felt by Caldwell towards Ferrari.

Built by Lorenz and Rankl, apparently.

Someone was selling a brochure on ebay last year: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1986-LORENZ-RANKL-FERRAR...

Depends on what it is - it might be a replica of the coupe quattro that David Llewellyn drove on a few rallies, which was the same as this shell. Or actually might even be a real ex-rally coupe quattro. But you're correct that it's not a "proper" ur-quattro.

Porsche 911 Turbos are two-a-penny, but I've never seen this paint before. Special order, perhaps? Brewster Green?

I may be wrong, but I'm sure there was a special order green 911 in Readers Cars months ago - I distinctly remember reading the thread. Hopefully he can confirm....
