The BBC did an excellent documentary on the Hunt v Lauda battle, and one of the things that struck me was the level of bitterness still felt by Caldwell towards Ferrari.

Depends on what it is - it might be a replica of the coupe quattro that David Llewellyn drove on a few rallies, which was the same as this shell. Or actually might even be a real ex-rally coupe quattro. But you're correct that it's not a "proper" ur-quattro.
