I don't even want to know! In all seriousness though, I do plan to do my first track day during my ownership...

Merc AMG GTS

Tax - £28
Fuel - £120 (don't do a huge amount of miles)
Servicing - £48 (On a 2 year service plan for £1150)
Insurance - £38

So excluding buying the thing it 'only' costs me at present £234 a month all in. Obviously not including tyres, brakes etc when needed, or depreciation when I come to sell.

My 2006 Cayenne S

£51.66 insurance
£48.33 tax
£225 fuel (or thereabouts when I’m using it regularly)

Knocking £325 all in or about £100 if it doesn’t leave the drive.

Depreciation is negligible given where it’s at in its life stage.

2018 Mustang GT

Monthly Payment: bought outright
Insurance: £810 for the year, so ~£67.50 per month.
Servicing: £255 each year, so ~£21.25 per month.
VED: £145 for the year, so ~£12.08 per month.
Fuel: Around £200 per month at 25mpg.

Total monthly payments: £300.83
Actual monthly payments (as I pay most of it outright) is £200 per month on fuel.

Interesting. What deal do you have on the Tesla?

I was looking at PCP on model 3. 25k miles a year got quoted £620 a month with £620 down over 3 years. As I spend near enough £500 on fuel I have been tempted.
Where was that from out of interest?

Come on you have to add in a depreciation cost as it most certainly is losing £.

This calculation has just cheered me up! Fuel is based on average of owning the car and depreciation is value now against what I paid:

Audi A6:
Depreciation - £400
Insurance - £38
Servicing & maintenance - £67
Fuel - £146.16
VED - £40.68
TOTAL PER MONTH: £691.84

That depreciation is horrific in comparison to your seemingly little usage!

Depreciation £0
Fuel £65 give or take
VED £50
Insurance £35
Maintenance/MOT £30 or so but clearly can vary. Have only had it 11 months....this may rise hehe

So around £180/month or so.
I'm guessing you don't drive very far?

I was going to say peanuts for my 2012 Alfa Giulietta 1.6 Lusso, but this morning the fuel injection system has thrown a wobbly. Other than that I brim the tank about every six weeks which is around £55 (work place is just a few miles away), the road tax is just £30 a year and insurance is about £130 a year. I bought it when it was eighteen months old and it's just turned over on 59k miles.

The only replacements I have in mind should that time come are another Alfa or a Maser QP.

So basically it's really cheap until you include all the actual costs...

I’m not sure I really want to know, especially when I factor in depreciation.

I added up what I’d spent on it the other day (mods, service pack, insurance etc) and it was a shed load more than I was expecting.

I’ll keep my head in the sand for now! hehe

Loan isn't necessarily a true cost though unless it's depreciating at the same rate you're paying it so things are probably rosier than that if you just account for interest and true depreciation rather than the actual loan payment. Though, I assume servicing bills might add up....
