Everyone will like different things, is the great thing about the meets! Until someone sits and revs their car in the car park, then we can all agree they're bellends.
What is wrong with that? People do this at GWFS- are they bellends? I like to hear some cars rev and have asked people to hear their engines before.
maybe I should have qualified my point with bellends in modern euro boxes on their own when no one asked, then speeding out of the car park surrounded by pedestrians.

I had two incidents with my Audi. It was an S8 V10 with Miltek exhaust so sounded pretty epic.

First was in France, pootling along in a town in Medoc somewhere. We were pulling into a cafe/park area also with tourist info. Behind me a barried Renault Espace of all things which came racing into the car park behind us and pulled alongside. I thought we were going to get mugged. Le Alig G behind the wheel wound down his window and cupped his ear to us. I said, "la voiture?" to which he nodded. I gave a few revs and the nodded his head and did that flicking wrist thing like when you get a substance stuck on your hand and want to get it off. He then reversed out and drove off again.

Second we were driving to drop car off for service so me in front, wife following behind. Drove through local village where there was a collection of old ladies waiting at a bus stop. I didn't notice but wife said as I drove by two of the old ladies actually raised and shook their fists at me. I wasn't speeding or anything so clearly the noise greatly upset the old dears, bless them. Wife thought it was hilarious.

GR86.

Few positive comments, thumbs up. Being asked if it was a supra.

Red Integra DC5.

All sorts. Thumbs up, guys literally jumping out of their cars to tell me the cars awesome after giving it some VTEC for them. People photographing it. Loved that car and wish I'd never sold it, nothing but positive reactions from people.

E92 M3.

Mostly abuse with the M3 if I'm honest and was part of the reason I sold it. I had people threaten to call the police about my driving, complain to my place of work about my driving behaviour (I was leaving trails of white smoke round roundabouts, doing burnouts up the middle of the office estate). Brake checks. wker signs. Reckless driving from other cars with similar performance trying to race me ALL the time. Everyone wanted a go. Occasional chats about it the petrol station.

Not surprised, it's beautiful. Similar to Riviera blue ? (Porsche colour).

Am I misreading this, or are you feeling aggrieved that doing burnouts in the office car park and skidding round roundabouts resulted in complaints about your driving?

Cheers - I'd say a cross between Riviera and Miami as there's a hint of turquoise/almost green tint under certain lighting.

I can't fill-up at a fuel station without somebody coming over and asking about the car. All genuinely positive remarks and despite the BMW badges many people have no clue what the car is.

I was sitting at traffic lights in Brighton and a passenger in a passing car pointed and seemed to go slightly mental at seeing my old Panda .
Maybe he was just mental .

I used to get some attention when I was younger, everything from being chased up the road by a man who couldn't speak English to offers to park my car for me. Incipient middle age has curtailed much of that, thankfully.

The only car related one that sticks out was an old boy starting a conversation about my then set of wheels, a cheapo Nissan Botnar-mobile. The gentleman asked me what I thought about driving a car made by an Axis power. I explained that I had no such concerns as the heap had been made in Sunderland. He had no idea and left delighted with the state of British manufacture.

In the perf and the 458 attention is always there.

TBF 99% of it positive.

The other 1% is people trying to get me to rev or everyone and their goat trying to race me. If I raced everyone who wanted a go I would be driving everywhere at 150 mph.

Slightly, and no. Just in general even driving around normally the abuse came

Had the same with an E92 320d as well. Nothing but abuse.

Any other car driven the same way, no problems really.
