True.

But it is quite clear that the majority of miscreants in the self entitlement camp drive so called 'aspirational' BMWs Audis and Mercedes.
Why do you spend so much time and energy broadcasting your perception of others’ social standing and their personal car buying decision making process ?

Can you suggest any make of vehicle which surpasses BMW (which after all is what this thread is about) in these areas.

Please do enlighten us.
I think that response says it all.

You can’t see what have you have done there can you ?
Do you have any contribution at all to make to this thread? confused

Thought not.

I haven't read the whole thread, but surely 'upperclass chav' is an oxymoron?

A true chav (Council House And Violent) cannot therefore be upper class.

I'm sure the point has already been made. smile

My contribution is clear

I’m genuinely intrigued as to why people would get so exercised about what cars other people drive such that they would take to the internet and make fairly unpleasant and very sweeping comments about them.

You are a serial poster in such threads and regularly use some of the most exaggerated and inflammatory language. As such I am interested in what motivates your thinking in that regard.

That’s not hard to understand is it ?

Yet another thread where posters with petty arguments and snide comments have taken over completely derailing the thread.

I must win this argument, I must have the last word, I am right you are wrong.

Give us all a break perlease.

Maybe we should start a new thread, we could call it "The petty argument thread" and you saddos could post to your hearts content, abuse and insult each other, trying desperately to outdo each other, without those who don't give a toss having to filter through all the bullst to follow the original purpose of the thread.

Just saying like ....................smile

Yeah this thread has really gone downhill since my last post.

So - Yo Momma is so fat, if we made her sit in the boot it would cure your Audi's terminal understeer.

So as well as not being able to tell the difference between front and rear drive, you have no idea what understeer is?
You'll need to explain what you think you mean there, as I suspect things may have gone way over your head.
Edit: ah I see you own an Audi, so the insult-o-meter probably just went off the scale at the mere mention of the brand hehe

Surely the original point of the thread was to rile people, polarise opinions, tease out extreme viewpoints and generally serve as a deliberate “light blue paper and stand well back” exercise ?

Looks to have been remarkably successful !

This is the not the behaviour of a successful individual who is comfortable with who he is.

+1

Wholly this.

He reminds me of another individual on PH who clearly has a disproportionate issue with what other people drive and how they afford it wink

My wife's transverse engined 4WD Audi has nothing to do with your lack of understanding Jim.

Can you explain how adding weight to the back of an Audi is going to help with understeer?
Pistonheads, where you have to explain what adding weight to the rear of a car will do to the tendancy to over or understeer hehe

So:
- Audi - a brand typically known to have chronic understeer even in the 4wd hot versions. For reference - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cpLzx9Z8Puw, any google search for "Audi understeer" and the endless list of frankly embarassing results.
- Audi - a brand typically known to have the huge heavy engine way out in front, causing the above.
- Adding weight rearwards - typically known to result in a lot more oversteer, for reference - any rear (or even mid) engine car, the Porsche 911 and its reputation.
- A Yo Mamma joke - probably not to be taken too literally and applied specifically to the car on your drive, no matter how apt it may be in this case.

Hope this helps, but I can't help but laugh at the irony of a person accusing me of not understanding under and oversteer, in reply to a joke about it that they didn't understand rofl

Ha, ha. Not that old backronym bks. Chav or chavvy is simply Romani for a boy or child. It existed decades ago.

Understeer is typically the result of the front axle having less grip than the rear axle. If you add weight over the back axle you are likely to increase further the grip at that end and thus just increase the understeer.

Yes, this is exactly how the 911 and various rear and mid-engine vehicles got their reputations for understeer instead of snap-oversteer.
....oh wait....
