Bet Toyota can’t believe their (bad) luck. They produce a car nearly as popular as the GR Yaris but fleet emissions avg limits them to 400 cars. They could sell thousands of these. I don’t understand how they can me making money from these, unless it is just a heavily revised GT86.

Meanwhile they can’t shift Supras for £17k more.
Nothing to do with emissions it’s 2022 worldwide factory output.

Is the deposit refundable? I've got a Gr Yaris but depending on the test drive of the GR86 I may want to pull out and keep the Yaris..
I would happily take the Yaris GR ( used car dealer, utter scum I know) if you wish to go through with it and have it for stock here with a little money on it for you. PM me if you like.

I am very excited to see these in the metal. Think it might even be a dream car for myself...

My mistake. Thought someone said it here. Still, bet they wish they could make a few more having sold out in around 2 hours.

Have they said whether their factories just don’t have capacity, or is it component supply? Strikes me as a bit strange that the might of Toyota made that error (if the factory capacity is the problem).

My take is that this is initial allocation for launch and more will come available up until 2024.

Before the order bit was open, I was looking on the Toyota website at some of the used stock of GT86. There are some low mileage, last of the run stock that is not far away from the retail of the new model. Don't think the dealers involved will be to pleased . . .

If there are only 400 GR86s, I doubt it'll be much of an issue to used GT86's. The GR86s will be well over list anyway for the flippers biggrin

I decided that it was a bit daft to put in an order as I have a GR Yaris coming, after lunch my SO said I should go for it and see what the test drive was like. Then they had sold out! Ooops!

Looks like it is sold out now. The 'Buy' button has been removed.
Blimey, glad I decided to just bite the bullet then rather than the usual umming and aahing - Sapphire blue manual
I’m the same. When the email came in this morning announcing the ordering would be open at 10 I thought about shelving it until after lunch. Glad I didn’t now.

Magnetite Grey manual. Although I haven’t had any word on delivery. Just says a member of the Toyota team will be in touch with next steps after I confirmed my bank details etc.

I thought it was legislation about the safety extras.....

Correct but that’s not why the UK have sold out already.

That’s interesting, a late June car would be perfect!

When did you put the order in?

I'm still waiting for the small amount of money test to happen...

Does anyone know how long before delivery/collection do you have to pay the remaining balance if purchasing outright?
