Noticed in this months Octane a blue F1 at Kidstons.

Is this Flemke's?

Mark.
No, that car doesn't have the high mirrors of Flemke's, it's the wrong colour blue, doesn't have the squiggle on the bonnet nor the white penal near the windscreen wiper nor the side strake in its different colour, nor the coloured wheel nuts nor the black wheels, larger wheels or larger tyres, different suspension, carbon brakes, carbon enhanced interior and Flemke's has a more tasteful [IMO] interior than the one in the magazine

Apart from that [and a few other choice bits I've glossed over] its identical wink
You missed off the 'original' McLaren enameled badge on the rear wink

I'll class that as one of the 'choice bits' in my sum up at the end wink

I was still moving whilst my passenger took that photo, albeit slowly. Nothing behind me though!

Was great seeing one on the road.

Sweet Nickyboy - always cool to see parts separate from the car.

In other news...

Gooding and Company will auction McLaren F1, chassis 066, at their Monterey sale in just a few weeks. While their catalog description does not include an official estimate, I can tell you that expectations are for a high 7-figure USD selling price. Should be very exciting!

See here for the full catalog description and some more photos:

Wow!

Notwithstanding the F1, just looking at some of the other cars being offered:-

Ferrari 288 GTO - $1.2-$1.5M
Ferrari F40 LM - $2-$2.5M

yikes

Yep. The financial ship is sinking hard. The rats are leaving it already and buying 'real' stuff instead of monopoly digital money. Be afraid. Be very afraid.

If my Euromillions numbers come up prior to the auction, that will be mine.

Don't care if I have to stay in my current gaff, or carry on working.

Life will be sweet enough with that in my life...

I might be well off the mark here, but was that car originally sold in the UK?

Weren't they all originally sold in the UK? wink

All indications before and in that auction description are that the first owner was German.

Talacrest posted a few pictures of a Ferrari 330 being repainted in the Uk yesterday.
I'm sure that's an F1 beside it?

Including a replica body shell.
