Real Good Number Plates vol 5
Discussion
More of a question than a really good number plate. But walking through Manchester the other day I noticed a few black cars parked up on double yellow lines outside of one of the offices.
They all had similar registrations for example 123 X 456 they the same font as regular UK plates. Are these diplomatic or the councillors or something else?

Diplomatic. The first three numbers identify the country or international organisation. The second group of numbers is a serial number sequence starting at 101 for diplomats, 400 for non-diplomatic staff of international organisations, and 700 upwards for consular or other non-diplomatic staffThey all had similar registrations for example 123 X 456 they the same font as regular UK plates. You could have told where this was, but the street has no name.Did it rattle and hum?
The owner in the dealer's showroom... "I'm after a Mini, but I still haven't found what I'm looking for."
When did you take the photo? Was it October or was it New Year's Day?at roof.

As is often said. What is deemed as good can be different to different people.
Exactly, can't please everyone!Although after a quick check I think IB is an Armagh plate from the 60's which I'm sure someone can confirm, maybe not so good then as I know NI plates aren't well respected on here

I know many discussions about 'plate worth more than car', but it does not get much better than 9 N spotted twice yesterday around Coventry on a really taggy looking 2010 Ford S Max. No pic, but Sir Bagalot I'm pretty sure that's been seen before?
Yes, it has been photographed on the SMax and believe it or not the SMax is a fairly recent purchase (past 12 months or so). Before that it was on a Pug 308 of similar vintage. Love to know the story behind itSir Bagalot said:

Well it's a dateless original issue and you don't see 4x2 combinations all the time so thought it was worth posting ArmaghMan said:
