Well, there must be some reason for the fact the Sagaris keeps going up and up in value. For sure, they will find their ceiling eventually and start to come down again. I was merely idly speculating that, given that it is supply and demand that causes prices to rise like this, there must be a demand for at least a handful of cars.
However, as a Sagaris owner it's obviously not in my interests to want any more supply.![smile](/inc/images/smile.gif)
Anyway, it's largely academic, but I was just passing comment on the fact. That's all.
I don't think you are wrong Jon, back in 05/06 questions were still being asked about the s6, now we know cars built after 05 are far more reliable and now you can buy a upgraded s6 with a 5 year 100k warranty, a upgraded Sag with a upgraded S6 at £80k could be a good starting point especially with the warranties now being offered. However, as a Sagaris owner it's obviously not in my interests to want any more supply.

That's something I would PX my Sag for.

I agree, long-term you'll need access to OEM drivetrains and support in calibrating the electronics for your application, buying crate engines or further development of your own (for which you'd need seriously deep pockets anyway) means you're Always behind the curve when it comes to regulations et al. I'd say Jag's active diff would be a serious enhancement to a future TVR's dynamics, too - representing a way out of the dichotomy between agility and dynamic stability that becomes more poignant the lighter and higher powered the car.Dom
Just make sure whatever you buy in is in keeping with the basic TVR philosophy - transverse front engined AWD drivetrains need not apply.

Digging up an old thread - I read about this today http://www.roadandtrack.com/new-cars/a10285400/tvr...
Article says " Initially, Smolensky wasn't interested in getting rid of TVR, but a random kid in London convinced him otherwise. Smolensky was in Berkeley Square in London when a kid, who was walking with his father, came up to him, kicked him in the shins and shouted, 'you killed TVR!' "
