While not hugely illegal, not sure if no spaces is legal or not to be honest. I think it's very chavvy. This 2013 A3 is sporting a numberplate to try and say jealous, it's spelt wrong and I don't think many people will be particularly jealous but you know, maybe if it was an RS3 it may be a more suitable plate. Credit where it's due it's not a 1.6tdi.

No it's not legal and yes it's very Chavvy

And thinking people might be jealous of an Audi hatchback? How delusional do you have to be?

Owned by "Mr M.E Lomax". It said so in small writing under the plate itself.
A bit sad in all aspects given the car, colour and plate.

PU11 END spaced as PU11EN.D (with a nice little dot added) on a yellow TT.

I keep thinking DVLA / VOSA / Police / Anyone that cares are missing a trick not sending automated fines to the owners of these plates as round my way so many cars have butchered plates and the latest fad of blacked out windows.

It would be a road going tax most road users would likely agree with.
As they wouldn’t be paying.

Most of the illegal plates you see here or on the road probably wouldn't have been bought in the first place if the Platees knew for sure there would be regular fines popping through the letterbox. Compromising the demand for number plates even knowing that a significant proportion of them will be represented illegally would mean a reduction of a lucrative income stream for the Grubbernment and that of course means it ain't gonna happen.

In any case even if you somehow did remove every single illegal plate from the road you're not actually solving the real underlying problem which is the narcissistic, attention seeking, fkuck the law I'll do whatever I want attitude of the mouthbreathers that choose to have them.

It could be the gift that keeps on giving though. Use the same warnings that are provided now when a plate is bought about the penalties that can be imposed for misrepresenting the plate, but then actually issue the fines. That way, government gets the sale of the plate, and some ongoing income from the fines.

I never get eight hours, and I agree with him.

HAHAHAHAHA. Listen to yourself. It's actually hilarious how much it bothers people.

If you judge a persons character based on whether they mis-space a number plate, then that says a lot more about you then it does about them biglaugh

I think it’s a good quick way to tell if someone is likely to be a throbber.

Exceptions to the rule of course.

If perchance you have a shining example of your own creativity regarding a registration please post it for a free character appraisal along with an indication of what it is supposed to "say" laugh

I totally agree.

Cars with miss-spaced or otherwise tampered-with plates are in my experience (thirty-six years’ driving) more likely to be driven in an anti-social manner than cars with legal plates.

Makes sense really, as people who do this are not only saying that they are prepared to bend the law (admittedly a fairly minor infringement) but are prepared to do this openly. It displays an attitude of mind.

To clarify, I am not talking about legal personalised plates - just the botched-up ones that we see too many of on this thread.
