When Ready Player One was filming in Birmingham, imagine my surprise to walk past a rat-look Thesis on my way to the office
If I'd been looking for somewhere to set a film in a post-apocalyptic wasteland, Birmingham would have been near the top of my list. laugh

Motorhub have all sorts of weird and wonderful cars, all of which I would avoid.
Something something barge pole.
It's fair enough fronting a dodgy cleaning operation selling mouldy ex minicabs, but this place has some serious, eye wateringly top end motors. What enthusiast in their right mind would buy from here given their reputation? 5 mins on the website turned up these:

Only 7k miles but £250k; should be nearer £600k wonder what the history is?

Weren't these the same guys who ran Keighley Trade Centre?

If so, their 'angle' was in scrubbing-up rare, imported cars with dubious histories (damaged, write-offs etc.) and selling them at full price.

ETA - Not that I'm suggest this is the case here, you understand...

I think these are the guys trying to flog a CL55K on ebay...only when you get to the middle of the write up it says "non-compressor model"...

Chancers.

That Alpina, from what I've heard, is a bit of a hen house. Plus it has an awful case of seat twist.

There was mention on here of a Carrera GT involved in a serious accident, allegedly repaired outside of the system, and which Porsche GB are refusing to even service.

I think the crashed one you refer to is this one https://www.theoctanecollection.com/cars/porsche-c... at the Octane Collection - 70k miles, non Porsche repair and still up for £400k. The Motor Hub one must still have broken glass as a screwdriver in the footwell....

Yamaha A550X I think. Nice backstory to it from memory, as it may have given Nissan the idea for the 240Z. Allegedly!

Correct.

Or it was also dubbed the 1964 Nissan 2000GT prototype, made with Yamaha but Nissan didn't think it was financially viable and finally Toyota took the project (is also considered the father of the Fairlady 240Z)

Have a look at a Pontiac LeMans, it's an Astra/Kadett, or more accurately a Daewoo Nexia (Holden Kadett) built in Korea and sold in the US, how to sully an iconic name!
