I haven't heard anything since about this, anyone know what the current status is ? realise its still early days.
Take 1 Jaguar F Type, remove all pensioner products, add TVR badge. Done. I think there is still a place for TVR, that Jag is lovely and it is a bit rude and growly, but it is acting whereas the TVR is the real deal, it is the actual Psychopath. Not sure a metal TVR would work, it needs similar power to the JAG but only weigh a tonne for the full effect.
Isnt the nutter from GTA 5 called Trevor ?

The TVRCC stand was also visited by a team from the new owners of TVR on Saturday that included Chairman Les Edgar, and two of his co-directors who were a little more camera shy.
They chatted with us for well over two hours and were very open and receptive. They're proper petrolheads and from the conversations we had we're confident the marque is in good hands.
One or two interesting snippets of information but nothing concrete. We can look to the future with more confidence as no other owner has engaged with the TVRCC and its members at this level before and they've only just begun.

Well? Not a peep...
not as suchhttp://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...
it would appear the peep was purposely oriented towards enthusiasts and club members rather than countless idiots elsewhere on the internet. A good move I'd say (and i don't even subscribe anymore).

(but he had supplied the 50-odd TVRCC stand workers with some nifty, short-sleeved shirts for the occasion so he obviously has his head screwed on the right way)

No, that's the official website alright. It's just that nothing has happened on there since the announcement of the tvr-parts business. I've been subscribed to their 'Noise' mailing list for as long as it's there, but no emails so far. I think they're missing a trick there.
I mean, how much time would it have cost to send a 'Seasons Greetings' email, a newsletter with stuff that's (been) happening in the TVR world right now, some sort of poll/competition, post some cool old pics, magazine features and stuff on a Facebook page - anything to keep interest ticking over until they can make a more substantial announcement? Methinks the PR machine is definitely not in place and humming along yet, snazzy website design notwithstanding.

That's just an internal affair I guess, I have heard nothing so far from NIMAG/Louwman to indicate that they have a dealership/importer contract with 'new' TVR already but I'd assume they've not been terminated by the new regime either. That said, I think all the 'new' arrangements including any new TVR models will be a UK-only affair, at least initially.
what was the year when they wanted to show there first 'new' TVR ?
I know they mentioned in the beginning when they bought some stuff from Nicosomething and TVR, that they thought they would have a car to show in? was that 2013 or 14 or 15? I thought that they mentioned earlier then 2015, but nothing yet, not even a guess...hope they soon give some real news and or that they are on their way and have it almost ready or whatever, something would be nice after such long time.

There's a few articles from last spring/summer floating about where Les Edgar confirmed that things were still happening, but it'll likely be later this year before any more concrete news is released.

Too many UK car companies recently have been talking the talk but not following through. However in this particular case I suspect they are actually doing things behind the scenes, rather than just issuing marketing hype with nothing to back it up. When they are good and ready I hope to see a fully functioning car released for testing by Chris Harris. All good things come to those who wait.
ah thanks, I thought it was longer ago when they bought it :--)
so maybe 2017 a whole new car and in 2015 also some we could see?

Edgar is part of a three-man executive board that will pilot the TVR brand back into the marketplace by 2015, starting with a lineup of two new cars that he recently talked about with Autocar.

Sure, everyone can see that. But in the meantime, they have a brand with thousands of followers and lots of stuff happening in the community around it, there are regular publications in the motoring media about the legacy cars and they recently launched the 'official' parts channel so a significant part of TVR as far as potential turnover/margins is concerned, is up and running. Methinks that it's be not much hardship to bring out a quarterly newsletter that would be of interest to most TVR owners and enthusiasts without even once having to speak about future models etc. Heck, I could write and edit a quarterly TVR magazine if someone paid me.
