I thought it was a Merlin. It's a Packhard out of a P51.

(I only know this as I asked him earlier).

You are correct. The most basic of UK models, manual choke n'all.

The elan might get some attention too this year, I keep threatening to drop it off at Tony Thompson.
I'm glad my BX beardage hasn't slipped laugh

My Dad had a couple of new BX in 1988 and 1990, he did a lot of miles so they were serviced every 3 or 4 months so he had a few Leaders as courtesy cars.

2019 etc.

Did anyone watch the barn finder video I linked to? The old boy and his father have a amassed a collection of around 100 cars in various states of disrepair from living in a forest to having been driven into a barn and left. Amazingly they have three Daytona’s and a Superbird. When you watch it, the presenter chap is commenting on the values but the owner is completely without interest which is sort of nice.

I’ve watched a few more of the series and they’re worth a glance. The three linked below are a of a ‘find’ and end up with the auction. The reason why the owner left a 275 GTB and a 427 Cobra in his garage for 30 odd years is baffling.

Find

Move

Auction

This may not be news to many, in reading about it's been all over Jalopnik etc. But news to me smile
Thanks for posting.....I really enjoyed that.

I should like that 924 above but it just doesn't quite do it for me. Just a bit of a mismatch;

924 narrow body
911 wheels
944 front end

Maybe a set of 924 Turbo cross spokes would make a big difference. And a 924 front end too I guess.

There are some nicer 944 conversions out there imo......

I'm pretty sure it's been for sale for a while, I don't remember it being on Fuchs though. I'd love another 924, I shouldn't have sold my minty fresh time warp one. I need a double garage!

My 924 sold at auction for £14k, and that was too cheap. Sadly the money had gone out of the room when my car went through frown

Pricing got dragged up when the rest of the transaxle car pricing went up. Then people noticed that decent ones were getting thin on the ground, and so many had been broken over the years as they were worth virtually nothing. The Carrera GT versions have always fetched half decent money, when they went up in price people looked at Turbos pushing those prices up, so the S went up etc etc.

I had a 6000 mile lhd N/A, and although it was pretty slow, it was bloody good fun. Really nicely balanced chassis and great fun down a country lane

My poverty spec one. No power steering, no radio, no sunroof, no rear spoiler and 2 spoke steering wheel. I love base model cars for some reason biggrin
