The Audi is half an hour down the road from me, shame there is no more detail.

Shirley that Audi is a scam at that price?
Why? Parkers quotes "Private Good" on this vehicle at £2945, based on 120k miles. This one has 113k miles and is priced at £2,995. Franchised dealer price is a touch over £4k from the same source. What does CAP / whatever price it at?

(For the Audi)
Ignore me, just struck me as rediculously cheap, plus poor ad and old photos had me twitching.
A bit cliché but "so much car for the money"

Surely an opportunity to nip down the road and find out more on behalf of the thread?

Judging by societal developments regarding hurt feelings, can I pursue a claim for damages having seen - and been affected by - the images of that poor car? Can the car sue for loss of respect?

Still, the hood looks to be in good nick.

What a mess.
The ad states `these cars are going up in value.`

I think if you took all the Merc badges and the bonnet louvres off it you'd have a very reasonable start for a kit car there. Almost a bit 80s Maserati.

As it is it's a horrendous shed though, obviously a knackered door and ruined interior doesn't exactly make it endearing!

The only place that should go is to the crusher.

The bizarre thing is that someone spent hundreds of hours to make a once beautiful car look that ridiculous.

Good luck with that lads. It's an ugly 25 year old 16 mpg S Class that probably has 'issues'. It's £1200 on a good day.

Shirley it's the last of the old-school million-mile Mercs built by engineers not accountants, using the engine that would go into the Pagani Zonda, which cost more than an entire mining village in 1992 and now a youngtimer modern classic which can only go up in value?! wink

They don't make them like this any more (nor do they make the wiring looms, M120 radiator fans or throttle bodies)...

Well, if I had space and a licence from Mrs Stegel to add to the fleet, and it stayed near the guide, I'd have it!

With three old MBs tucked up in garages, I've demonstrated my breakfast credentials / questionable judgement before!

That's poor form from MB. OK, not their highest production unit but these should still be serviced IMO.
