Huh?

For certain cars, yes, E Type Jaguar, or either way, z class/series Germanmanufacturer.

Surely for most, including Ferrari, it's manufacturer then car name.
Sorry thats what I meant, the manufacturer name is followed by the name of the car. Sorry need more coffee...you see, I'd always referred to the Jaguar E-Type as the Jaguar E-Type.

I could see it for class/series but not for model... to me the naming convention is manufacturer then model....aaaanyway carry on.

To me it'll always be the Ferrari Enzo, much to the annoyance of the other chap. hehe

I am usually quite good with not getting drawn into sillyness, however I did chime in to one debate over how you should refer to a Ferrari Enzo.

As far as I'm aware the manufacturer name is followed by the car name, and does so with every Ferrari (and every other car I can think of). Rationally thinking its a completely irrelevant debate, however once I realised the other chap is one of those "have to be right" people I decided to wind him up a touch.

Enzo Ferrari = Founder of Ferrari

Enzo = Car made by Ferrari

Ferrari Enzo = Car made by Ferrari

Anyone disagree?

I went outside expecting a Tesla P85D.

It's a Nissan Leaf smash
100% torque @0rpm, it probably gets off the mark relatively quickly.
But you won't get far doing 0rpm whistle
Trust me. It won't get off the mark quicker than my truck biggrin

someone enquired to my for sale ad---if my car drank much oil as he'd read on various forums the TSI engines use about 1litre per 1000mile and if the timing belt and water had been replaced

From a friend and colleague yesterday:

"what happens when you run out of brake fluid? Where do you fill it up?"

Oh dear.

At least they had heard of brake fluid, and knew that running short was a bad thing, and appeared to accept some responsibility for keeping their car maintained.

Woman I know in the pub last night (primary school teacher) she had a puncture so took the car to the tyre garage and had to ask if she would get her alloy wheel back when they changed the tyre.

"My 55 plate C220 was a great car, 0-60 in 5 seconds and had it up to 150 on the M6 toll!"

Unless I'm missing something, the only way I can see that doing 0-60 in 5 seconds is if its dropped from a high height.

This is true, we did have a bit of a laugh about it when I explained how brakes work. He thought it was a consumable like screenwash hehe

This seems to be a common woman thing. There was a link to a Munsmet (sic to avoid them spotting it!)) thread about alloy wheels and a large number couldn't grasp the whole wheel/tyre/spare-wheel thing. It took ages to get through to Mrs CanAm when son's car had a puncture and the tyre was trashed.
