One of these (probably not this one) heading up the A46 out of Stratford this afternoon.

Forgot how absolutely cracking they look in white-over-blue. cloud9

It looks like the cut a slot in the body for the registration plate.

Good review of the Ford GT in Autocar:

https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-review/ford/gt

In amongst the stellar reviews of the performance, handling, nose lift mechanism and general brilliance of a £420,000 car there was no mention of the central fabric panel on the seats.

I'll be cancelling my subscription immediately, talk about missing the most important part of any supercar review. Extraordinary.

I bloody love the Diablo, but the roadster never looked quite right.
I agree! The just looks strange when it's on, and when it's off, it goes on the engine cover. Weird!

Aye, I wasn't fussed about the blue wheels to begin with but it all works so well. Love to have a blat around in one of those, even the older models are still a good drive apparently.

I can imagine the older ones being more fun in some ways
- less grip = more movement / more involvement at lower speeds
- potentially more steering feel as hydraulic not electric assistance
- lighter weight = potentially feeling more alert/responsive/agile (although I'm conscious a lot of modern engineering goes into engineering-in these feelings in newer/heavier cars)

Neither of you are coming out of this with any credit: both of you need to let it go.

I can imagine being a reasonably competent driver and getting much out of an older model but can't help feel that you'd need to be more than just competent to to get as much out of a more modern car. Harris' skill with these things is remarkable and there's no way I'd get to a tenth of his skill but he seems to get more out of a modern car than I ever will.

Those colours really need to be reversed, IMO. And the white/red versions look like a child's toy. Again, better the other way round, I reckon.

There. I said it. smile

It would look even better if all the coloured bits were black, but I'm not a fan of black wheels so I'd swap them for some gold BBS E88s.
