Should we nominate them for the Nobel Peace prize? georgefreeman918 said:

A bit surprised as the car only was serviced in the summer, but not really driven for long journeys either. He used to be worried about the M25 because fuel consumption was high... it was a Garage Queen suddenly pressed into service on harsh Scottish roads. Hopefully an easy fix (water pump?) But he should have sold it when he had the chance
I thought this whilst watching. Car has been off the road for 12 months (maybe more) and as far as I am aware, not really driven before this trip. Expecting it to be driven reasonably hard, along far from perfect road conditions in Scotland is a recipe for something to go wrong. What should be quite a simple fix, will be difficult to sort such a long way from London. Also got the impression he wasn't best pleased when on the phone to SB Racing? Seeming to throw some blame as only 10 mins into the trip and its f#/*$d itself!
Been watching alot of professional resto videos and both Tyrrell's and Retro Power Cars do significant shake downs before handing the cars back.
Was Paul just being unrealistic?

Blimey! What sort of videos did you expect on this topic though?
This is basically one of the biggest stories in the automotive world in the last few years, a car company basically lying to the world about a 300+mph production car world record, I would be more surprised if one of the worlds biggest automotive Youtubers didn't do a video about it.
I don't see why all the hate for Tim, Misha and Robert unless you are a die hard SSC fan who believes the car did hit 331mph.
Ahmed doing a report on the SSC debacle is like Adam C doing a report on the SSC debacle. They teach this stuff at primary school,
Jerod needs to get to a meeting 331 miles away he is late! he has an idea, his new car he has been told can do maximum speed of 331* miles per hour, Jered gets into the car and sets off, how long does it take Jerod to get to his meeting?
(*The salesperson lied to Jerod the car can only do a maximum of 250 miles per hour.)
A - one minute.
B - one hour.
C - 1 hours, 19 minutes, 26 seconds.
D - Jerod decides to have a virtual meeting via Zoom.

Hi Ollie it’s Tim
How fast did you go?
331mph
Ok cool thanks a lot.
How hard would that convo be? Call the bloke, Tim the fun police, thank g lessons from shmarc from getting involved in stuff that has nothing do do with him
It is incredibly common on record runs That the video is a composite of footage put together after the fact. I am not sure why that’s difficult to understand, the gps data is the only info that actually matters and Tim and the critics don’t actually have that.
Good job the USA isn’t a notoriously litigious place..

A silver spooned guy who paid attention in Maths class though.
Regardless of what you think of his channel personally, I am not his target audience either. But the last person I would want to start arguing with over video editing would be Shmee150. Hazmat1 telling him to Lawyer up is what I love about PH.

Isn't it just. Oi Shmee stick to what you know..... While offering an unqualified legal opinion  Regardless of what you think of his channel personally, I am not his target audience either. Robert is an uber rich property developer that happens to spend lots of money on fast cars. Misha is a marketer for Robert's side business/fun activity (Apex). Tim is a youtuber like Stradman, DDE etc.1602Mark said:

Odd.

Lamborghini were called out a few years ago by Dale from bridge to Gantry so not new for record videos to be edited up. It was interesting for Mr safe hands friend of the car industry Tim to present but fair play it was an interesting video I thought.
Next video after was him wearing a MASSIVE watch

Kind of related to YouTube, Wheeler Dealers will be returning to the UK and be based at Bicester Heritage - where JWW’s Production Bunker is located. Marc Priestley, who has an F1 channel, will be replacing Ant Anstead.

Absolutely agree. I should also say there's no 'hate' from me either. That said, I still see no point in the same 4 people producing multiple videos rehashing the same limited data. Wasn't it established pretty early on, that the car simply wasn't geared to be able to reach the claimed top speed, no matter how many sign posts can be spotted on Google maps? As for 'saving some rich people from making very expensive mistakes' though, we'll have to agree to disagree on that one.
It was, but then Pinocchio at SSC claimed that they’d secretly changed the gearbox before the run to one whose bearing matched their iffy claims.Despite it supposedly being a production car, they decided not to mention this rather critical piece of information until it was needed.

That's good news, going to the US added nothing really. I talked to a few petrolheads when I was working in the US before WD moved over there and they all loved WD and apparently it got really strong ratings on whatever channel it is they watched it on - so I can see why they moved WD over there to try and grow it further... BUT the reason the Americans' loved it was because it gave them an insight into quirky European cars that they didn't otherwise get much coverage over. So once they moved to the US, it just became a toned down version of the tens of hot-rodding shows that already exist there.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_pWqY0mksZ0
Ant grew on me over time, but Marc was also very good on the dream car thing they did. Still want Ed back though

The format seemed to change when they moved to the US, more forced humour as if they were trying to impersonate Delboy and Rodney, and less time spent on the projects. Ant grew on me over time, but Marc was also very good on the dream car thing they did. Still want Ed back though
I’m currently watching season 15 and it’s noticeable that there are more episodes, but some of the vehicles don’t actually need much work.
I thought Edd would re-emerge on a copycat programme, but that hasn't happened.

Yes, a lot of the content shown in the trailer seems to be repackaged from the YouTube channel. I suppose it’s a good way to see if the format works. With Top Gear and The Grand Tour moving more into the entertainment field, I do think there's room for a more traditional motoring programme.https://youtu.be/8Fw5SdnCr1A

FTFY...Hopefully they can make it a going concern where something like 5th Gear failed. I think as long as they don't try and copy Top Gear or Grand Tour with big budget stunts they should be good.

They're some impressive numbers by Misha, job or not he'll be earning over £15k/month on adsense alone now.
