Nice pictures from the lucky owners and their great choice of colours.
Bolder colours, even silver, really shows off the sills and flanks.
Contrary to the above 'bland' comment, I think these are really good looking cars.Bolder colours, even silver, really shows off the sills and flanks.
The GT86 was quite bland IMO, but this is a big improvement.

Finally some snow here and a short drive early this morning in the 86 to avail of the favourable conditions.
Would love to see more pics of this, without the snow so I can get a better feels for the wheels - they look really good. What colour did you have them done and where? Thanks Taggarc
If you go back to page 30 in this thread I have a bunch of pictures from my first roadtrip in the car.Would love to see more pics of this, without the snow so I can get a better feels for the wheels - they look really good. What colour did you have them done and where? Thanks Taggarc
Here's one for quick reference:
The colour is whichever one of these two codes is the BMW one - Standard-Felgensilber (Farbcode 8Z8 oder A54)

That looks really good and am surprised as wasn't a fan of silver. Like the way the bottom swathe line cuts up towards the ducktail.Regards the bland comment, I always wonder what that person drives and often it's some diesel Skoda or yawnsome German repmobile.

I was shocked at that when I watched it too, and it certainly didn't go the way I was expecting it to. Back in the day the Supra was a hero car for me, but that video just proves that what you thought were quick cars back then...obviously weren't really all that fast in reality though. I keep seeing a silver/grey GR86 out on the roads and I personally think they look really good.
Supra is old so I reckon it's a combination of technological advances and the supra losing a few ponies over the years. Although saying that the supra smashed it in the mid range.
I'd much rather have the GR overall though. Never a massive fan of the mk4 supra... I recently prefer the BMW supra over it

I used to love the Mk4 Supra back then even though it was a chest wig GT. The performance it offered seemed really strong even as standard back then I thought. Plus I used to see massively tuned ones at TOTB at Elvington/Santa Pod etc, so that only made me want one even more. I'd much rather have the GR overall though. I'd happily have either the GR86 or the BMW Supra, and I really like them both. I especially love the idea of a BMW Supra with the manual gearbox, but it is just a shame that they are so expensive though. However the Mk4 Supra was out of reach for me back then, just as the BMW Supra is now as well!

Anyway, credit to the GR86!
It’s common knowledge the GR86 is kicking out 250hp at the crank, and the Supra would have lost a few ponies with age, it would be lucky to still have 300hp, the extra 215kg the Supra carries over the GR would negate those extra
50hp, hence why is was no faster, plus damp weather doesn’t help turbo style power delivery, overwhelming the grip.
We are certainly getting a lot of performance for the money.

Now mine is fully run it does feel just the right amount of quick. I’m loving it, especially after some alignment tweaks.
It does feel like it’s torque limited or that the throttle map is different in 1st and 2nd vs the higher gears though.
Anyone considering the HKS Legamax premium exhaust?
