To be fair, I use that car park a lot and I've seen it absolutely rammed where the staff get people to park on the double yellows and across hatches and even at junctions like that. Once it's full to the brim, staff give "upgrade" vouchers, in this case, T5 business parking, once that's full (in the same manner), upgrade vouchers are given to stay in short term parking at the terminal itself. I've had to park like that, as well as in a disabled spot for 4-5 days on two separate occasions, only to come back from my trip and find the car park empty and makes me look like a dick for parking like that."I can't be bothered to find a proper space, so I think I'll just dump it in the middle of this junction for a couple of weeks".

If you did that and he went away first you would be parked accross two bays exactly like him.
How do you know he didn't do that to someone?
Because I know the person who use to do it, and I would park inside the marked bay, while he used to try and park over the line to take up two places. As a result if he went away before me, I would be correctly parked. How do you know he didn't do that to someone?
After a few times, they got the message.
The selfishness of some parents never ceases to amaze one lady at my daughters school parked her citrus 307 blocking acesss one side of the bike shed (yes she has driven right up to within 20 metres of the classroom so she didnt have to walk more that 20m to collect her child!
Parents arent allowed to drive on site unless you have a blue badge.

Admit it, you hadn't thought about the other car moving first and you being left accross two bays looking as badly parked as it was

If its 50/50% as in that picture, then its unlikely to get another car in the remainder of the space either side.
However,
If its is 80/20% (as you often see) then there is potential to get a small car in the gap on the 20% side.
Most 80/20 parkers do it on purpose to make the next space less attractive, than alternatives - but also like to pretend to people they never noticed they were over the line.

That's what I do. Feels less obvious than parking smack bang in the middle of two bays with the line going under the centre of my car!ive seen some thoughtless and dare i say it proper couldnt give a F**k styles of parking (either some drivers think they are immortal or have no filter whatsoever in terms of consideration for how other cars can gain access or be able to leave) and often been so tempted to wheel out a couple of trolley jacks and move the offending car up and around the corner.......
or stuff a load of bananas up the exhaust and listen for the BANG!

If the BMW was to leave first then he would be left parked in the middle of two bays and his car would probably end up posted on here.
