Lister XJ12:

The Lister variants of the XJ-S (from slightly modified to the crazy Le Mans) are pretty well-known, but Lister could also supply their engines (5.3 with 450 bhp, up to 7 litres and 500 bhp, or 7 litre supercharged with 600 bhp) in the XJ40. Their first such conversion was done in 1989, when Jaguar themselves didn't introduce their XJ40 V12 until 1993.

Properly busy under the hood:

Other way around, the original was the Isuzu and Opel rebadged it as a Frontera. It was already a few years old by then

A 'shop unfortunately - that's a publicity pic for the M5 saloon

BMW did make a prototype but it never made production.

Grewe and Shultz did a lot of period conversions

Is it a popular aftermarket fitment

Someone in the wheel and tyre department had already thought of that by putting 120 profile tyres on!

Yeah, pretty much. Base car is Isuzu and it was badged as Honda or Opel or Vauxhall or Holden or even others depending on the market. I can't think of a car which has had more names

Indeed, it's the same (as also mentioned in several of the posts a little further up this very page).
