Latin Futurism one might call it?

Airfoil shapes not unfamiliar to certain French and Italian designs over the years.

The prewar Dymaxion also comes to mind:

Not the same thing. But a distant cousin let's say.

What is it then? I’m 100% certain 2 door 240 saloons were badged as 242.

On a side note, whilst checking that, I found out that Volvos were assembled in Australia up until 1988.

That explains the number of 240s kicking about here, and why I see RHD 242 GTs which afaik were never sold in the UK.

New for me, a Trabant Tramp sold on ebay a few days ago

Only reference on PH I could find was from a thread from 2006 which mentions one and has this pic

I'm sure I have seen this exact vehicle while waiting for a bus in Wellington. My reaction was 'why has that Range Rover got a Honda badge?' I assume it was a grey import and only sold in Japan as Range Rover didn't have a presence there.

Really? There's a company in Yorkshire that imports Japanese-spec Range Rovers from Japan.

This photo was from the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2011; I was there, and saw this nail in the Lancia coffin. Well, this, and the Thema (a 300C). A sad day.

Looking at the ebay ad, it doesn't appear to, so those negative (?) camber rears could make handling interesting biggrin

It wouldn't be a Range Rover anywhere

There was indeed one on the Ring last year (although not this exact one). They are a strange concept, but it's classed as a microcar which German kids can drive from the age of 16 (or 15 in some German states).
